As in most sporting competitions, basketball employs officials in order to control the flow of the game and
enforce the rules.
Referee and Second Referee
1. Inspect the equipment.
2. In-charge of jump ball and warm up.
3. During the game, determine the calls, violations, fouls, and misconduct.
Table Officials
1. Record of line up.
2. Record the score.
3. Accomplish the score sheet.
4. Determine the possession of the ball.
5. Signal if there is time out and substitution.
Rules and Regulations
* The team with the highest score after the regulation period wins the game.
*4 quarters. Pro-12 minutes each quarter. Amateur-10 minutes.
*5 team fouls for quarter before Penalty.
*Penalty- Free throw for every foul.
Violations occurs when the player breaks one of the rules of Basketball. A violation results in the awarding of the ball to the opponents.
Foul is an illegal action that can be committed by player from one team against a player from the opposing team.
