NTAP Basecamp Policies:
Project Area & Milestones
• All staff - project area that charts quarterly and annual deadlines and to dos. All grant deliverables. A milestone can also reflect internal deadlines for projects, such as content timetables or development schedules. By creating milestones first, subsequent Files or To Do lists, can be associated with that milestone.
Uploading Files
• All Project files are required to be placed on Basecamp. This allows for members outside the project to access the files at a later date, and in cases where someone needs to catch up to speed on project details, they have access to this information. Use Basecamp as your drafting board – post drafts for staff to review and upload new VERSIONS versus new files of those same drafts once finalized. Categorize files appropriately.
Notifications:• Use the notification system when uploading new file. But if files
require some action by the notified members, send an additional email that you uploaded a file and the action you want accomplished.
To Do Lists • Tasks - may be under internal deadlines that are subject to change
and/or tasks associated with milestones.
Whiteboards • Areas for brainstorming or collaborative discussion. Send notifying
email.
Messages • Track project messages through BaseCamp.
