See attached flyer for more information. s Course Recovery After School: If you have failed something 1 st semester and need it for graduation we are offering Course Recovery after school free of charge. Please see Mrs. Pilant in guidance to register ASAP. s College Acceptances & Scholarship Offerings: Bring in ALL College acceptance letters (even if you are not going to go there) and scholarship offerings to Mrs. Pilant in Guidance. The ACT at a Glance The ACT (American College Testing)
• Was first administered in November, 1959 • Has maintained the same multiple-choice format since then • Can be taken a total of 12 times by anyone • Is graded between 0 and 36 on a non-linear scale, with 36 representing the highest (perfect) score • Is used by colleges and universities to determine admissions and financial aid, as well as scholarships • Is predictable • Requires
Team work between parents and students Practice and knowledge (about the test itself, as well as test-taking strategies) A Good Understanding of what to expect before, during, and after the test
