SKILLS DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
SETA’s (Sector Education and Training Authorities) are to be re-established for another two years pending legislative changes required to implement the new proposed system;
Thereafter SETAs to be called SETABs – Sector Education and Training Advisory Boards established under the Dept. of Higher Education and Training.
Greater portion of Skills Development Levies to be directed to National Skills Fund.
Ability to access funding will be restricted to SAQA accredited with tuition mostly by public institutions.
