Seconded by Tom Wardell. CORRESPONDENCE: M ° tion Carried None. OLD BUSINESS: 1) Chairman George Cole had gotten copies of the Waterville Township Land Use Plan (updated) and made sure everyone had a copy. The Trustees passed the up- dated plan at their April 28, 2010, meeting and the last step is to have it approved by the Lucas County Commissioners and Lucas County Plan Commission Planner Molly Maguire will take care of that. 2) The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on February 22, 2010, to hear an appeal by Craig Bauer for his compost facility. Mr. Bauer's request to add composting facility to his special use permit had been denied. Mr. Bauer's remedy is to appeal their decision in Lucas County Common Pleas Court which he has done. It had been suggested that maybe a compromise could be worked out between the Township, Mr. Bauer's neighbors and Mr. Bauer (consent decree). A public hearing will be held May 26, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church, 611 Farnsworth Road, Waterville, Ohio. NEW BUSINESS: 1) In the future, it was suggested that when the land use plan needs to be up- dated, the township should not have to spend so much monay. This commission did not feel that the work that was done was worth the money. This group felt the width of the overlay district on Route 64 should be defined. This may be hard to do because we followed parcel boundaries and not a straight line. 2) Planner Molly Maguire has been working on an overlay district for SR 295 for Providence Township which encompasses the US 24 bypass area. She has also drafted a version for Waterville Township's portion of SR 295 (Berkey-Southern Road): Tom Qvermyer made a motion to table the discussion on an overlay district for This will allow everyone to drive out and look Seconded by Glenn A. Banas. SR 295 in Waterville Township. at the area and review the proposed text. Motion Carried. 3) Planner Molly Maguire also brought draft definitions for gas stations, etc. to cover expected growth around the US 24 by-pass area: Tom Ovennyer made a motion to table the discussion on definitions: gas stations, etc. due to several questions this commission had. Seconded by Glenn A. Banas. Motion Carried. 4) Vice-Chairman Glenn Banas wished to discuss Clean Wood's issue (Clean Wood has a request pending to rezone 5+ acres on Neapolis-Waterville Road from "A" Agriculture to "M-2 General Industrial). Once the land use plan is approved by the county commissioners, light industrial zoning could be allowed where Clean Wood wants to build their facility. .The township added light industrial to this area because it would be adjacent to the Village of Waterville 1 s industrial zonin and also in the area Waterville could annex per our annexation agreement. continued
