Johnson defeated An-thony Pepe of Elmhurst, New York, 220-206, to win the Profession-al Bowlers Association Chameleon Champi-onship on Saturday at the National Bowling Stadium to become the second woman to win a PBA Tour title.
She joins Kelly Ku-lick of Union, New Jer-sey, who won the 2010 PBA Tournament of Champions, as the only women to capture vic-tories on the PBA Tour. The PBA fi rst allowed women to compete in 2004 after the PWBA abruptly went on hiatus in 2003.

Elsie’s Lanes, Minneapolis: Tanner Swart’s 711 series was clean - no open frames. Mi-chael Grigsby had no spares or open frames in his big 300 game in the Sidekicks league ei-ther. The highest male shooters were Jerome Picard (264/760), Ryan Bridgeman (257/745), Chris Pillen (253/718), Craig Miller (258-244-236/738), Ray Stolquist (708) and Phillip Prince (290-257/758). Ann Patrick led the women with a 561 series - following by Dana Baker (524), Terri Fellegy (226/541) and Sarah Kushino (211/551).
Drkula’s 32 Bowl, Inver Grove Heights: Colleen Hartley topped the women’s list with 227/609. Other great scores were authored by Mimi Krey (232/581), Kelly Riggins (549, 557, 502), Terry Lundberg (216/556), Alicia Hart-ley (206/554), Jeanne Morrow (213/578) and Brooke Salzman (youth, 217/545). Youth bowl-er, Alec Frederick, used games of 265 and 258 to give him a huge 719 series. Leading the men were Scott Weirauch (268-245-235/748), Brian Masurka (279/717), Enrico Zafke (268/717) and Brian Masurka (247-238/708).
Garden Center Lanes, Alexandria: Mindie Meyer paced her home house with a 237 game and a fi ne 655 series. Michelle Klimek and Heidi Hansen also did fi ne with 219/571 and 223/569, respectively. Clayton Mohr authored a 279 game into a 762 set while Nevin Brede took a 277 game to give him a 744 series. Dick Woelfel and Tim Welsh each struck to a 255 single game.
Memory Lanes, Minneapolis: Linda Paine walked away with a house high 515 series. Tom Singleton formed a 243 game but Jim Belka topped all men bowlers with a 263 game and 670
series.
Park Grove Bowl, St. Paul Park: The Dun-can family held the women’s highest hand. Amanda Duncan posted 222/597 while Melissa Duncan had 201/551. Mike Bastian was the star on the men’s side (258-226-256/740) followed by Jim LeClaire (236-258/706), Tom Mattson (233-269/703), Ryan Johnson (266-231/701) and Doug Kaudy (289).
Blainbrook Bowl, Blaine: Youth bowler Coo-per Tate came close to perfection with a 297 game but fi nished with a 705 series. Texa-Tonka Lanes, St. Louis Park: Amy Martin has had a great couple of weeks on the lanes - this time rolling a 730 series. Other league leaders were Jessica Miller (261/661), Ryann Wait (663), Sharon Carlson (683) and Kayla Pashina (682). Top honorees on the men’s side included Jon Heath (279-277-279/835), Ron Hunt (300), Dan Chambers (290-278/794), Ed Peterson (300), Jeremy Steffan (298-248-258/804) and Jeff Lande Jr (300).
AMF Saxon Lanes, Little Canada: Stepha-nie Koller had lots of strikes and spares over the last few weeks. Her score were 258-216/626 and 260-216/688. Sammi Smith also found the right line to strikes for a 247 game. Kevin Cox lined up great and consistent games of 256, 255 and 249 to blast him to a 760 house high series. High games were the order of the week for Terry Pot-ting (278), and Ron Patire (257). Youth bowlers Abbie Jansen and Ray White, authored sets of 209/597 and 223-244-212/679, respectively.

Tyler Klinepier, a youth bowler from In-ver Grove Heights, ex-ploded with strikes on Saturday, November 4 for a 300 game at Drku-la’s 32 Bowl. He ended the league with a 750 series using a Roto-Grip Daredevil which he drilled himself. His pre-vious high single game was 290 and holds 789 as his best series. He was holding a 220 aver-age when the 300 game was rolled.

witih her daughter, Lily, rolled 260-268/739 on Monday October 23 and followed on No-vember 6 with 244231-233/708 at Texa-Tonka Lanes. She was bowl-ing in the Twin City Masters at Texa-Tonka Lanes. A DV8 Dude and Brunswick True Nirvana were drilled for her at On Track Pro Shop Southtown. This marks her 13th 700+ series to go along with a 300 game and a 780 high set.

Eric Peterson, Fridley, lined up a dozen strikes for a 300 game in the Tuesday Men’s league at Andover Lanes. His weapon of choice was a Storm Marvel Pearl which helped him to his fourth career perfect game. The 217 average holder has a 779 high series and a 218 high average.

From a convention and tourism perspec-tive, the infl ux of all these bowlers plus fam-ily and friends provides a large economic boost to the host city during the course of the event.
The tournament is the highlight of the bowl-ing season for USBC female members. It's a vacation as well as an opportunity to compete in one of the sport's most prestigious tour-naments.
The entry fee is $44 per event, per bowler. All-events is option-al and is $8. The total cost is $140 per bowler, which allows them to compete in team, dou-bles, singles and all-events.
Team squads are held at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and doubles/singles squads will be at 8 a.m., 12:30 p.m.
