Barnaby Bear’s African Diary.

Page 2: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

I flew to Africa on this plane.

Page 3: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

Here I am in the cockpit of the aeroplane, I was very excited.

This is a picture of London which I took out of the Aeroplane.

Here I am high above the clouds. I think they looked like fluffy pillows. What do you think?

Page 6: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

This is Harare airport in Zimbabwe. I was very glad to get off the plane and stretch my little bear legs. It had been a very long flight.

Page 7: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

This is Harare the capital of Zimbabwe. What can you see? Are there things in this photograph that you would find in Eckington?

Page 8: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

Harare is a very big and beautiful city, I went out and saw lots of very interesting things while I was there.

What a strange sign! What do you think it means?

I saw this on the way to the Victoria Falls National Park. Have you ever seen a sign like this at home?

Page 10: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

This is plane I flew over the Victoria Falls in. I think I was very brave! What do you think the Victoria Falls are?

Page 11: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

This is Victoria Falls. It is the widest waterfall in the world. I got very wet when I visited it.

Page 12: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

Victoria falls produce so much mist that there was a rainbow above them. It was very beautiful. Perhaps I should have packed an umbrella!

This is a market near Victoria Falls that I visited. I was surprised to see the lady carrying a box on her head! What can you see?

Page 14: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

This photograph shows a dam across the Zambezi river. The Zambezi river in is largest river in Zimbabwe. I was flying over it to go on safari. What is a safari?

Page 15: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

This is the house I stayed in while I visited my friend and went on Safari. I liked it because I thought it was really pretty.

Would you like to live in this house? What shapes can you see?

What animal is this?

Page 17: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

The weather in Zimbabwe was quite hot. I think she was trying to cool down. What animal is this?

Page 18: Barnaby Bear’s African Diary

What did I learn about Africa.

Africa is a very big, much, much bigger than England.

The weather is mainly dry and sunny, although it does rain a lot in the rainy season.

Africa has many fantastic animals which do not live in England (good job!)

Africa was very beautiful and I would like to go again.

Love
