I got this from Quick Checks 20-4 pg. 45 Title: Popular Rides at the Fair

Parachutes 50 tickets soldBumper Cars 125 tickets soldRollercoaster 75 tickets soldFerris Wheel 100 tickets sold

Page 5: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

I know there is twenty five more rollercoaster tickets than parachutes. I know this because when I subtracted 75 tickets minus 50 I get a difference of 25 tickets.

Page 6: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

I can tell that there are twenty five fewer Ferris Wheel than Bumper Cars. I know this is true because when I subtracted 125 minus 100, I got an answer of 25.

Page 7: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

There were three hundred fifty tickets combined that were sold for the rides at the fair. I can prove this by adding all the numbers that represents the tickets that were sold.

Show the addition of all the numbers.50+125+75+100= 350 tickets were sold altogether.

We can also see that most people prefer to ride the Bumper Cars than any other ride. Our answer is correct because we can see that that is the longest bar on the bar graph.

Page 9: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

We agree that the least popular ride at the fair was the Parachute. We can clearly see that this is true just by looking at the shortest bar on the bar graph.

These are some comparison statements that we can conclude based on the data provided on the Number of Parks pictograph

Page 14: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

We can see that Edison County has four less parks than Carver County. We figured this out by taking 11 parks minus 7 parks, which equals four.

Page 15: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

We can also conclude that there is probably less fresh oxygen on Morse County because they had the least number of parks.

Page 16: Bar Graphs and Pictographs statements

It is likely to say that the citizens of Carver County like to plant trees in their community. This might be true because we can see that in the pictograph is the longest bar with the most trees.
