employ Lean FlexFlow principles and
the latest technologies that yield greater
productivity, more flexibility and less setup
time. As you might expect, quality is a leading
priority throughout all Baldor plants. Six Sigma Quality
practices including SPC process control, begin at the start of
the manufacturing process where raw materials such as magnet wire and
electrical steel enter the plant. This scrutiny continues during the build
process where components and sub assemblies are repeatedly tested
for conformance to engineering specifications. For example, after the
stator laminations are punched, random samples are tested for geometric
consistency within each slot and between slots. Even during the final
paint process, quality is still the priority because Baldor knows that paint
durability and appearance are important to their customers.
Manufacturing leadership and attention to quality ensures performance
predictability for every Baldor-Reliance motor produced in these plants.
