The social impacts of the project will be numerous: reduced workload required for fire wood collection and fire tendering by women and children; improved health due to a reduction in smoke pollution; increase in household savings. Production of Cooking Gas, Organic fertilizer and Lighting (electricity) for rural communities in Bafut Municipality. Under this program, several activities will take place: Construction of Digesters for Farms and Family houses, Plantations, Schools, Hospitals, Hotels, Snack Bars and Restaurants; Setting up of small businesses and Micro-finance for start-ups. Due to the Cholera outbreak in Bafut in 2011, the Bafut Council is motivated to improve on the waste conditions and WASH situation in the municipality, especially the affected areas (Lower Bafut).
