    Technical Analysis of Film Trailers

    Bad Teacher (2011) Comedy

    The opening of the trailer starts with theproduction company Columbia whichis a well known company, producingmany successful films in the past. Assoon as this appears on screen, non-diegetic music is cut in, hearing just ashaker instrument.

    The first clip is a wide angle shot showing two

    characters centred in the middle of the shot thereforemaking it clear they are the ones to watch. You can seetwo female characters which have very contrastinglooks. Their costume of female suits indicates that theyhave a very well paid job which juxtaposes with thesetting they are in, a fast food restaurant, alreadylinking to the comedy genre. The larger femalecharacter says You excited for tomorrow? in a veryhigh/sweet voice, representing her type ofcharacteristics.

    A cut is used showing a medium close up of the

    younger female character. This reaction shotshows her reply saying Whats tomorrow,Saturday? again, linking to the comedy genre ofwitty short sentences. The characteristics of thischaracter i.e. eating with mouth open, elbow ontable, low voice, indicates that she subverts thestereotype of a female however presents herself

    in the stereotypical way of impressing men.

    A reaction shot shows us the next character using amedium close up. As you can see from these past twoclips that these characters a very different inpersonalities and appearances. The blonde character isvery abrupt/rude in personality however very wellpresented whereas this character is very shy/timid inpersonality and the complete opposite in appearance,making it comical that they are hanging round eachother. She responds No, its the first day of schoolreferring to the fact that they are both teachers andtomorrow is the blonde characters first day.

    A cut is used taking us to a wide angle shot showingthe front of the blonde character and the back/sideprofile of the brown haired character. The gestures ofthe older lady are using a knife and fork to eat whereasthe younger character is using her fingers, againreferring to her character being careless and piggish.

    She replies yeah Im not gonna go to that whichmakes it funny as it contrasts with the profession ofher being a teacher as they are supposed to berespectable role models for the students, linking to thefact she has never grown out of the teen behaviour.

    This reaction shot again shows us a mediumclose up of this character. As you can seefrom her facial expressions it shows she isshocked as to what the younger charactersaid however not reacting showing that she

    is scared and intimidated by the youngercharacter.

    The same reaction shot and eyeline match isused to again show these charactersresponse. As you can see from the bodylangue and facial expressions shown in themedium close up you can see she doesntcare, linking to her dialogue saying I dont

    give a F however before swearing theclip quickly cuts to another.

    The next clip shows the beginning of the credits.The colour scheme represents a school chalk

    board, linking to the title of the film badteacher. Also the text at this school representsthat the majority of the film will be set in theschool therefore aiming for teenagers and youngadults. Non-diegetic music is cut in along with asound effect of the traditional American school

    bell, again setting the location.

    Another cut shows us anestablishing shot of the school.

    As the sound effect of the school bell stillringing, we are shown a wide angle shot ofthe inside of one of the schools corridors,showing the pupils and two teachers in themiddle of them. This shot shows us that is

    a nice school and all the children get along,maybe foreshadowing that this doesntcontinue from the title of the film.

    Here is a medium close up showing theprevious character sneaking some alcohol inone of her lessons, which automatically showsthe audience she isnt the stereotypical teacher.A voice over of another female character(preferably another teacher) says Elizabeth,

    you shouldnt be teaching which shows thatshe doesnt hide her behaviour from othermembers of staff around the school, making itmore comical.

    A medium close up shot of a few of thepupils in her class show the stereotypicalcharacters you find in a school, forexample the geek, the rebel etc whichyoure able to recognise with their costumeand body language. You can see from their

    facial expressions that Elizabeth behaveslike this in front of her pupils.

    The character of the female voice over isrevealed with a medium close up. We cansee through costume that this character is astereotypical teacher, unlike the costumeand attitude of Elizabeth. The difference inthese two characters could suggest somefuture issues between the two.

    Alongside the continuous voice over, a medium close upshot shows Elizabeth sleeping at her desk whilst thevoice over says I cant think of anyone who is lesssuited to being a teacher. This refers to her costume aswell. As you can see she is wearing heels and themajority of her legs are on show, meaning she is wearinga short skirt or shorts. This would be seen asinappropriate clothing as a teacher as it could be a badrole model as well as uncomfortable for male teachershowever following on from her act of not caring.

    A cut takes us back to the credits. As thecredits appear, a sound effect of a board rubberhitting a board is cut in; including differentrepresentations of what is seen and heard in aschool. The same text and graphology is used,keeping within the colour and design scheme.The one teacher referring to the newemployee, Elizabeth.

    Straight after, a medium close up ofElizabeth is featured, making it clear to theaudience which teacher they are referringto in the text. In the background of the shotwe can see three other teachers, allcontrasting with Elizabeth in theirappearance as well as age, showing thatshe is the youngest by far.

    Another cut takes us to a medium close up shotof the character marking work in herclassroom. The gestures of marking the workare very aggressive, linking to the type ofcharacter she is. Elizabeths voice over appearsover the top following on from the previousclip of her saying I dont need a black boardor a classroom to set an example, not

    necessarily saying she wants to set a goodexample.

    A cut to a point of view shot from Elizabethsperspective shows her writing out stupid on apupils test paper. This is very comical as it is verydifferent to what teachers are like with theirstudents. Another voice over of Elizabeth says sostupid in an aggressive tone, again showing herfrustration with working there, signifying that shedoesnt like children making it even funnier as towhy she is working there.

    A wide angle shot of Elizabeths classroom isshown, showing her standing at the font of theclass and all her pupils behind her. You cansee that she is aggressively throwing all theirwork at them whilst shouting morons! againlinking to the comedy genre. Featuring thistype of behaviour would entertain the audienceinto wanting to watch more as it is thecomplete opposite as to what a teacher is like.

    Following on from the previous credits,this one uses the same text and colourscheme. They have used a funny pun byincluding an abbreviation for a swear wordas well as using a school grade to represent

    it. The F being in a different colour toemphasis the pun as well as the trouble ofgetting an F at school.

    A cut changes a location within the school,taking us to the canteen. As you can seeshe is sat on her on therefore indicatingthat she doesnt get along with the otherstaff members as well as not wanting toassociate her with them. Over the top of

    this clip, a male voice is introduced sayingElizabeth.

    An eyeline match is then used, using a mediumclose up shot introducing us to the next maincharacter. The costume shows us that he is aP.E teacher as he is in a t-shirt with a whistlearound his neck. Being the only teacher tointroduce himself to Elizabeth, it shows thather appearance being so different from the

    other female staff has attracted him, resultingin him asking her out on a date.

    Cutting back to the same medium close upshot, we have a reaction and eyeline shotof Elizabeth showing her response askingwhether he was still a gym teacher. Overthe top of these clips is faint non-diegeticmusic.

    After the male character replies yes themusic rapidly comes to a stop and shereplies then no which again links back tothe short witty comments linking to thecomedy genre. Also, this comment couldsignify that she is some sort of golddigger as she wont go out with him dueto his job.

    A cut to a wide angle shot of theentrance of the school is featured. Youcan see the iconic American school

    bus in the frame, making it clear the

    audience where the film is set.

    Another cut is used taking us back to theprevious clip in the fast food setting. Bytaking us back to this setting it goes on totelling the audience this characters planwhilst working at the school, which is to findthe perfect man. This shows us the type of

    character that she is of being selfish, as wellas requesting for a rich husband so that shedoesnt have to do anything.

    Carrying on from the previous clip, the voiceover carries on into the clip. Here you cansee a medium close up of Elizabeth turninground looking puzzled. Matching with thedialogue as soon as she turns around thelines finding a guy which automaticallymakes the audience assume that she has just

    spotted him.

    A low angled shot is used introducing us tothe character which Elizabeth seems to beinterested in. As you can see, most audienceswould recognise who this actor is (JustinTimberlake) looking completely different towhat he is like in real life therefore makingthis character seem funny, along with it

    being someone you wouldnt think Elizabeth

    would find attractive as he looks geeky.

    A cut takes us back to the same shot ofElizabeth however moving towards thecamera, using a dollying shot following herfrom in front. You can see from the mediumclose up shot that she is happy in her facialexpressions. As she approaches the malecharacter she says hi there whilst flickingher hair around, exaggerating introducingherself to create a comical affect.

    A cut to a medium close up, over the shoulder shotshows the two characters meeting for the first time.He introduces himself as Scott. You can see from hiscostume (suit and tie) that he takes his job seriouslyunlike Elizabeth. However, from the colours of his

    blue shirt and patterned tie is shows that he is a

    quirky character unlike the previous teachers we sawwhich had bland colours, representing the differencein ages.

    Here is a reaction shot, showing a medium closeup of Elizabeth responding to Scott. As you cansee from her body language her character hastotally changed, putting a different persona on toget Scott to be attracted to her showing that she

    is sly however in a funny way.

    A cut to an over the shoulder, reaction shotthen shows us Scott replying, introducinghimself as the schools new sub making itclear to the audience what sort of positionthis character plays in the school and whathis relationship is towards Elizabeth at this

    moment.

    A close up of Scotts watch is used to emphasisthat it is designer therefore very expensive. Thislinks to the previous aim that Elizabeth has offinding herself a rich man that would take care ofher. Elizabeths voice over is used whilst thisclip is shown, showing that she has noticed hiswatch i.e. to show what her intentions are to theaudience and to start up a longer lasting

    conversation with him.

    Another cut to the same medium close up, overthe shoulder shot of Scott appears revealing thatthe designer of the watch is a family business,meaning that he is very wealthy.

    Moving from the previous conversation about thewatch being a family busy, a quick cut moves to adifferent location showing a medium long shot ofScott playing guitar in a bar. A sound effect of akerching cash machine plays whilst Scott does awaving gesture, using the sound effect tosymbolise that he is rich in a comical way.

    A cut is then used showing a eyeline match of amedium close up shot of Elizabeth. This shows theaudience that after their introduction in the

    previous clip they begin to spend more timetogether, seeming like Elizabeths plan is working.Also this shot shows that she has a different

    personality when she is with him to try and get her

    way into his wallet.

    The sound bridge of this character voice overmoves from the previous clip to this one showing amedium close up of her saying I love how hiseyes sparkle when he smiles showing that she isalso attracted to him however out of his league,making her character even more funnier as thegoofy, geeky assistant.

    A quick zoom out shows both the assistant andElizabeth together in the canteen, following on fromwhat the assistant previously said. Although its anAmerican Middle School, they have posters on the wallsaying No Drugs in School which again is funny as itcontrasts with the pupils which attend the school, as theonly trouble is from Elizabeth. Elizabeth replies sayingI wanna sit on his f however being interrupted,similar to the first few clips when she was about toswear, therefore indicating that this is a rude comment.

    An abrupt cut shows a long shot of the threecharacters all together. As you can see from theactions, Elizabeth and Scott are high fivingshowing the type of relationship which has beencreated which she has struggled to do with theother staff. Again, this shows the comedy of thisfilm as he interrupts her rude comment by walkingin and saying hi guys.

    The clip is interrupted by a introduction of non-diegetic music cut in along with credits which aredifferent to the ones featured beforehand. As you cansee, the producers have kept with the theme of schoolwhen it comes to graphology. For example, at the

    start of showing the credits, the effect representsunravelling of a crumbled piece of paper, revealingwhen the film is going to be released. The font of thetext represents the font used for typewriting, againlinking in with school facilities etc.

    It then cuts back to another medium longshot of the two characters talking, going

    back to the first day they met. Elizabethstarts asking about his wife in a sneaky

    way by implying he has one instead ofasking.

    Once Scott starts speaking, it cuts to amedium close up of his face, revealingthat he has recently split with hisgirlfriend.

    The same medium close up shot thenshows the facial expressions ofElizabeth reacting to what he has said.Linking to the genre, she overexaggerates her facial expressions as

    he says I just got out of arelationship

    A cut is then used taking us to a close up of Scottholding a phone showing Elizabeth a picture ofhis girlfriend. By having a very good lookinggirlfriend, it emphasises the comedy as it wouldannoy Elizabeth that she is attractive as she hasto compete. His voice over says she has such a

    big heart which again emphasise the comedygenre by zooming in on the fact she has large

    breasts. Once this is announced, the non-diegeticstops to highlight the comical line.

    Going back to the same medium close up ofElizabeth, showing a reaction shot. Here she saysenormous as well as having an annoyed facialexpression referring to the fact she doesnt haveany. The one liner makes it funny as she isreferring to the size of her breasts not her hearthowever Scott doesnt know this.

    Non-diegetic music is then cut in, up tempo and arock/bass genre. The clip is a point of view shotfrom Elizabeths perspective circling celebritys

    breasts indicating that she is wanting to get breastenlargements to be better than Scotts ex-girlfriend.

    The next clip is linking from the previous clipshowing what she is planning on doing to getScott. This close up of a jar clearly labels new

    boobs matching her dialogue if I got a newpair of boobs

    Carrying on with the dialogue she says hewould be all over me showing that she isgoing to do all she can do get new breast. Asshe is speaking about Scott, a medium closeup shot of Scott appears, letting the audienceknow clearly who she is talking about.

    A cut then takes us to the two femalecharacters walking down the corridor, againtheir proxemics emphasising their contrastingcharacters. Here, Elizabeth complain abouthow expensive getting new breast would cost,with the assistant replying yeah, and yougotta get two of them again, including theone liners which would push for the comedy.

    Another cut is used taking us to a different location. Thetwo characters are seen together again showing thatunderneath Elizabeths tough persona, they arefriends. A medium close up is used showing the two inthe chair. Youre able to see from their costume of bigcoats and hats and the snow on the window the time of

    year it is. Here you can see a shocked looked on boththe characters faces after the assistant saying whoknows, maybe if you win the bonus having Elizabeth,in shock, pushes her foot on the break, again making itfunny.

    The same shot shows the outcome of theemergency stop, resulting in the assistantwhacking her head on the dashboard. Injury toa person in a comedy film is alwaysexaggerated, making it not look painful for the

    character so the audience dont feel empathy,just laugh.

    As the voice over of the assistant continuesover the various shots, a point of view close upfrom Elizabeths perspective shows a exam

    paper which is the key to getting the bonus ifthe children get a good mark, the sum ofmoney being huge afterwards.

    A cut to a long shot of both Elizabeth and theother school teacher is followed after. The

    proxemics of the characters shows that there istension between the two, representing thecompetition between the two of who wins the

    bonus.

    A quick cut then takes us to a medium closeup of Elizabeth. As you can see her facialexpressions show that she is ready to compete,

    putting on her game face.

    Following after is a medium long shot of theother teacher, again showing her game face.By showing the two shots of the charactersclose up it links to the western theme of ashow down, linking to battle.

    A medium long shot of Elizabeth is usedshowing her teaching in her classroom. Fromher body language it still shows that she isshowing bad behaviour, intimating thechildren showing them who are boss. She saysthings are going to change around herlinking to her needing to have good grades toget the bonus.

    A cut to a low angle long shot ofElizabeth is followed after using agradual zoom. By using the low angle isextenuates her power as well as her

    body language alongside her voice oversaying recess is over turning theschool into her own boot camp.

    Another cut shows us a medium close up ofthe previous teacher however havingcompletely different costume on. The costumeshe is wearing now contrasts with her previousone, looking like a biker. The medium closeup shows us her facial expressions, againlooking like she is ready to compete againstElizabeth.

    As seen previously, the same graphology is usedwhen featuring the credits on screen. Again theyhave used the iconography which represents aschool i.e. the crumbled paper and type writingfont. As these sets of credits appear, non-diegeticmusic cuts in of the instrumental version ofbeggin by Madcon which then becomes a sound

    bridge as it continuous throughout the next fewclips.

    A cut then takes us to a medium close up shotof a billboard. This clip is only shown onscreen for not even a second therefore theaudience are unable to read what it says on the

    board, however, a female voice over is cut in

    saying we are having our car wash thisweekend. The pitch of the voice is very highmeaning that it symbolises a young girl.

    After a panning shot to the right showing a pupil holding up asign saying car wash a cut then takes us to a medium closeup shot of this female pupil, matching the voice over with theface. The costume of this character is very smart wear and dullcolours (navy) therefore this represents a teachers petcharacteristic, which is a stereotypical personality you find inan American comedy coming of age genre. In this clip thischaracter reveals that their last car wash raised a huge sum ofmoney. We assume that she is talking to Elizabeth as it links

    to a way in which Elizabeth can raise money for her surgery.

    As the pupil says they raised $6000 a cut thentakes us to a reaction shot showing a medium closeup of Elizabeth. By using the quick cut itemphasises the comedy as it automatically revealsto the audience what her next plan is to earnmoney. Her body language of having her feet onthe table still shows her behaviour hasnt changed,showing characteristics of a stereotypicalrebellious teenager at school, juxtaposing the pupilin the previous clip to her.

    A cut then shows an establishing shot showing a changein location. By doing this is shows where the car washis taking place, in the school grounds. Again, you cansee on the far left of the frame the iconic yellow school

    bus, backing up that they are in fact at school. Youreable to see the pupils in the shot, linking to the fact theyare the ones doing the work to raise money for a goodcause however Elizabeth scams them. This clip appearswhen Elizabeths voice over cuts in saying lets do this

    whilst the volume of the sound bridge decreases.

    A cut to a close up shot of a females leg pushing opena door. We know that it is a female from the costume ofthe shoe, being a high heel which is stereotypical for awoman. We can assume that it is Elizabeth due to theway she presents herself in the previous clips. This is afunny way of approaching the way the school do the carwash as it implies she isnt going to be provocative forthe male staff to receive more cars and earn moremoney.

    Following after we have a medium close upshot of two males which could either bestudents parents or part of the schools staff.This follows on from my previous pointshowing the games that Elizabeth is trying to

    play to earn herself more money, flauntingherself to attract the males.

    A medium long shot is then cut in, showingElizabeth wearing revealing costume i.e.short denim shorts and a tied up shirt. Thiscostume represents the iconic scene inJessica Simpsons These boots are made forwalking car wash scene, doing it as a spoof

    to make it more comical.

    A cut then takes us to a very short snippet ofshowing a medium close up reaction shotfrom the male pupils perspective. As youcan see from his facial expression that he isalso attracted to her, adding to her massiveego, exaggerating the pompous character sheis.

    Another cut then takes us back to the clip ofElizabeth washing a car. This clip includesthe transition slow motion whichemphasises her actions of being sexywhilst washing the car. Again a long shot isused to capture the whole of her body,focusing on the fact she is wearing tight,revealing costume.

    A close up shot capturing the back ofElizabeth focuses on the fact she is puttingmoney in her back pocket, highlighting thekey element of why she is putting on thisextreme persona to try and attract customers.In the background, out of focus, you can seean old man who wants to get his car washed,making it comical.

    This medium long shot introduces us to anotherschool teacher, again contrasting appearance wisewith Elizabeth. As you can see from her facialexpression, this female character is gawping atElizabeth in envy whilst her costume is bland andunflattering. In the background of the shot your also

    able to see various pupils looking in the samedirection, this signifies that all eyes are on Elizabeth,again showing that she is an attention seeker and veryconfident with herself.

    Whilst this clip is being shown, a voice overof a male character is cut in quoting what a

    pupils father said about we should have acar wash every weekend. This links in withthe clip being shown as it shows her dancingon top of a car bonnet, representing why themale parents want a car wash everyweekend.

    A cut to a wide angle shot shows a police car and aparents car. As the car is moving a diegetic soundeffect of a car horn beeps, symbolising a wolfwhistle sequence. The camera tracks where the

    police car is heading, showing the car crashing intothe parents car. This is comical as her actions are adistraction, even to police officers. It also subverts thestereotypical behaviour as a police officer of beingstrict and scary whereas in this they commit a crime.

    The volume of the sound bridge increases once thecredits appear on screen. Here you can see the start ofintroducing the actors featured in the film. In my

    previous analysis, the introduction of the actors intrailers are also featured around the same time intrailers, towards the end. This is so that it guaranteesthat the audience wont forget who is in the film.Also, again this film relies on the star system formarketing and distribution as Cameron Diaz is arenowned actress.

    A cut then takes us to a medium close up shot ofCameron Diaz playing Elizabeth. This is thenormal conventions featured in a trailer as itallows the audience to clearly understand andidentify who is what character. This sequencestructure of introducing the name of the actorthen showing a clip of them afterwards in actionis shown also in my previous analysis of TheGreat Gatsby (2013).

    The credits appear after another cut,introducing us to the next main actor JustinTimberlake. Again, Justin Timberlake is awell known singer and actor therefore

    could be familiarised with the audience,guaranteeing some already dedicated fans.

    Again, another clip shows the rolethat Justin Timberlake plays. This isshown with a medium long shot ofhis character at a school disco.

    Another cut then takes us back to the creditshowever we know that this will be the lastactor introduction because of the use of and.We know that there are more than threecharacters in this film, however, the producershave carefully picked the three most successfuland well known actors to be featured in thetrailer to guarantee audiences will come watch,

    again using the star system to attract the targetaudience.

    Same as the previous clips, a cut isused to show us who Jason Segel

    plays showing a medium long shot,familiarising the audience with whohe is. The sound bridges volumedecreases whilst the actor speaks.

    The volume of the music (sound bridge) increases whenthe title of the film appears on screen. The transition usedagain represents a grade stamp which American teachersuse to grade pupils work. This is also represented in thegraphology with the bad being in a bold red with aboarder around the outside, symbolising an F stamp.The use of red makes the bad stand out, highlighting thefact that she is a terrible teacher. The teacher is in aplain white, resembling a classrooms chalk and thebackground design representing the chalk board. Allhaving relevance to a schooling environment.

    A cut to a wide angle, establishing shot reveals anotherlocation in the school, the gym. This shot shows longshots of all characters, showing the children standing ina military line with Elizabeth standing in front of themto the side, as if they were in the army, referring to herways of teaching being brutal. The volume of the sound

    bridge decreases whilst Elizabeth says now who hasthe answer to my question? You can see that inElizabeths hand is a ball prop, which could foreshadowwhat is about to happen to one of the pupils.

    A cut then shows a medium close up of Elizabeth and apupil in the background (proxemics). Your able to seeby the way Elizabeth is holding her ball that she iswilling to throw it to one of the pupils, again showingthat her way of teaching is similar to the discipline seenin the forces. The pupil in the same frame is holding aload of balls which could signify that she is Elizabethsslave in the lesson, carrying about her things like a lap

    dog following her around. You can also see from herfacial expression that she is scared/intimidated ofElizabeth.

    As Elizabeth says You, chubs a cut revealswho she is talking about, using a mediumclose up shot. By the one liner it makes itfunny as it shows what not to be like if yourea teacher, bullying a pupil. It shows that thechildren are frightened of her as he responds to

    her.

    The same wide angle establishing shot is usedtaking us back to the long shots of all thecharacters in the scene. As you can see fromElizabeths body language and gestures, she isgoing to throw the ball at him due to himhesitating when she asked him a question.

    A medium long shot showing the side profiles of thepupils is cut in shortly after showing her reaction shot ofElizabeth throwing the ball. Linking back to the

    previous point about pain inflicted on characters in acomical way, it reduces the amount of pain audienceswould feel for the audience because the build up to theaccident is funny however if this was presented in adrama genre film, audience members would feelempathy towards the hurt character because it is

    presented in a dramatic way.

    The next shot shows the gym teacher showing similar morals inthe way of teaching that Elizabeth does. For example, whenElizabeth hits the child with the ball he walks in and addressesthe boy seen throwing a ball in this shot as Twilight because ofhis hair. This is comical as it creates a humorous insult as theTwilight saga, as the appearance of this character is iconic forthe film twilight, looking like Edward the vampire. This medium

    close up shot shows the gym teacher encouraging the boy tothrow a ball at Elizabeth, however doing it in a way of reflectingback on how to throw a ball, again showing the comedy genre.

    A cut takes us to a medium close up of Elizabethhaving pay back. In the background you can hear the

    pupils chanting hit her showing the change indynamics once the gym teacher is allowing them toget revenge. The trailer ends with this shot ofElizabeth getting hit in the face. A sound effect of a

    ball hitting an object is used to emphasis how hardshe was hit, abruptly cutting to the next clip.

    The same credits appear straight after,advertising extra informational websites aboutthe film. By doing this is grabs the attention ofmore audience members as it would show insideinformation about the film, actors, behind thescenes etc, linking in with the promotional ideas.

    Another cut shows another clip of the film,showing a conversation between Elizabeth andthe gym teacher who previously asks her out ona date. The use of an over the shoulder shot andmedium long shot allow us to see the propswhich are included in the shot for example thegym teachers footballs, symbolising that he isthe gym teacher and Elizabeth holding the

    school year book, asking him to sign it.

    To show they are having a conversation, an over theshoulder shot is then used to show the gym teacherresponding to what Elizabeth has said. Most comedytrailers end of a comical line to remind the audience whatkind of genre the film is, as well as leaving the audiencelaughing so that they would remember the film and howfunny it is. Here, the gym teacher replies hold my ballswhich again is another pun as the character refers to thefootballs, however he previously asked her out on a dateso the audience react to the line in a crude way.

    The final clip appearing on screen is the releasedate of when the film will be aired in cinemas.Most trailers end with this information as it will

    be the last thing that the audience will remembertherefore remembering the date of it release.

    However, one thing which wasnt featured in the trailer is the Film Classification ofthe age limits on who can watch the film. By doing this it misleads the audience onwho is able to watch the film or not therefore creates disappointment for someaudience members if they are too young to watch the film due to inappropriate langueor scenes.
