SEN Area

The Jigsaw Puzzle IdeaIn the past SEN was

sometimes looked at as a separate piece of the

jigsaw within a school. The puzzle idea

symbolises how all the different SEN areas fit

together, giving a complete picture of SEN in

education.

SEN Resource Exchange

 • Idea based on NGfL general educational resource bank

• Will provide library of easily available SEN resources

• Facility for users to easily submit new or recommended resources

• Area could be extended to include all resources and users, not just for SEN.

• We have created easily recognisable colour coded symbols to represent each specific SEN area.

Recommendations

• LGfL should update their current SEN area• LGfL should include a SEN tab• LGfL should buy / negotiate better prices for software for

SEN users• LGFL website should be accessible to persons with

disabilities• The SEN area must be maintained regularly to keep it

current• The SEN team should meet up annually to review the

content to keep content up to date• An SEN person should review resources coming into the

SEN Resource Exchange for LGfL and answer questions from the FAQs area.
