Adding Customers to Mailing Lists
Back to User Guides (//creativeminds.helpscoutdocs.com/category/1665-back-in-stock-m1)
It is possible for customers who use the Back In Stock extension to be added tomailing lists for future email campaigns.
If you are unfamiliar with MailChimp and using email for marketing it is recommendedto read up on it first as a badly executed email campaign can hurt your email andsite's reputation in the email provider's spam filters meaning you end up unable toeffectively reach your customers. Done right it's powerful, done badly it'scounterproductive.
Navigate to System → Configuration → CMINDS BACK IN STOCK →Configuration. Then Scroll down to the MailChimp section.
Is enabled - Toggles whether or not the new requests will add the requester to themailing list(s).
MailChimp API key - Enter the API key obtained from the MailChimp website.(further details below)
MailChimp lists - Choose which mailing lists the requesters should be added to.It has been tested with up to 4 mailing lists. It is not advisable to add the sameemail address to too many mailing lists.

Back In Stock - Changing Front-endLanguage / Labels

Translating your Extension to other Languages
Back to User Guides (//creativeminds.helpscoutdocs.com/category/1665-back-in-stock-m1)
In order to reach out to customers from all over the world, it's possible to localize yourCreativeMinds extensions to as many languages as you want. To do this, follow thefollowing steps:
Method 1 - Modifying the module terms CSV
1) Find the file which contains the plugin text
This file is named Cminds_Backinstock.csv. It's located in this directory:
Cminds_Backinstock.csv is a CSV file, which stands for Comma Separated Values. This kind of format can be read by many common softwares, such as Notepad,Microsoft Excel and Numbers for iOS. You can open it as text, but, by using aspreadsheet editor you are able modify the values in a more visually pleasant way. Seebelow the difference of opening with a text editor (left) and a spreadsheet editor (right):
3) Edit the file
The table has two columns and several rows. The items in the left represent terms orphrases in the default language of the extension - this column should not be edited.
The column in the right has the information that should be translated to the new idiom- when you or the user changes the extension's language, the extension will fetchinformation from these lines. The following example shows a sample of a Portugueseedition:
8/7/2018 Back In Stock - Changing Front-end Language / Labels - CreativeMinds Products Documentation
Once the editing is complete, save the new CMinds_Backinstock.CSV file in thefollowing path:
app/locale/xx_YY
You must replace "xx" with the code for the language and "YY" with the country code.Examples: en_US, en_UK, pt_BR, pt_PT, es_ES, fr_FR, it_IT. If that folder doesn'texist, you can create it. You can find a complete list of the language codes (standardISO 639-1) here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes) and thecountry codes (ISO 3166-1) here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1).
One thing to keep in mind: many softwares will, by default, save the file in a differentformat, such as .txt, .xls or .number. Be sure that a .CSV was generated by using save as or export options.
Magento makes it easy to manage multiple language setting with the Store Viewfeature. Different Store Views share most of the settings, such as catalog of productsand customer groups, bur can have unique visuals, like the language that it'sdisplayed for the user. Learn more about the different Store features by referring tothe official guide (http://docs.magento.com/m1/ce/user_guide/store-operations/store-hierarchy.html).
To create a Store View with your new language, head to your dashboard and click System → Manage Stores. Then, click Create Store View.
Input values that will help you organizing the store.
6) Configure the new Store View to Display the Translated Language
Now, head over to System → Configuration and choose your new Store View in thebox on the Current Configuration Scope field:
Now that you are editing the Store View, you can select its translations by headingto System → Configuration → General → Design → Themes and then writing thedesired codes. If there are multiple translations, they should be separated by commas,as in "enUS, pt_BR".
Return to the Front-end to check the changes have come into effect, you will need toclear your cache first.
For additional tips, you can check the article Best Translation Practices(https://magecom.net/magento-multi-language-websites-best-localization-practices/)by Magento.
Method 2 - Using the in built Magento Translate Inline
tool
Magento in fact comes with a tool in the Developer tools section of the configurationsettings that allows for front-end modification of the terms that appear on the store'sfront-end. This can be a simpler way for some site admins to make changes. Thesechanges can of course be applied to our module front-end labels to change languageor style of the defaults.
Navigate to System → Configuration → Advanced → Developer.
Open the first section ( Developer Client Restrictions)and enter your public IPaddress to ensure that your front-end changes are only possible for you and not forany user of your site.
Now proceed to open the section labeled Translate Inline to enable the translationtool. Locate the option labeled Enable for Frontend and set it to Yes then click Save
Config again.

Return to the front-end. You should now notice that there are feint red boxes aroundelements of text that are generated by magento or modules that have been installed.
To change one of the labels hover over it to reveal the Open Book Icon. Clicking onthis will open the Translate Inline modal tool which can be used for making changesto front-end labels.

If you would like to keep the changes specific to the store that you are currentlyviewing then check the box labeled Store View Specific. This will help for example ifyou have installed the module on a store that will be your Spanish or French orItalian version of the site and are changing the front-end labels to the given language.
