Structure of Degree and Degree Requirements

• Full-time study = 36 units per year (8 topics x 4.5 units)• All students must complete 108 units towards the degree

(3 years full time)• The 108 units is made up of:

- 49.5 units of core topics - 18 units of designated Archaeology elective topics- 40.5 units of designated non-Archaeology elective topics, comprising 13.5 units at 1st level and 27 units at 2nd and 3rd

levels

Student Workload

A standard system of unit points, based on student workload

Normally 1 unit point = approximately 2 hours of student effort per week

Includes both time spent in class and individual study timeTopics are worth 4.5 unit topics = approximately 9 hours

per week, therefore 4 topics x 9 hours = 36 hours per week

Enrolment Procedures

• Apply for credit if you have studied previously at TAFE or other universities.

• Complete your Commonwealth Assistance Form (CAF) online through the Enrolment website. You cannot enrol until you have completed this requirement.

• Plan your study for 2018. Decide which topics you wish to enrol in for both semesters. Topic and timetable information is available online.

• Follow the instructions in the “Enrolment 2018” flyer sent by the University.
