Planul de invatamant are o structura complexa, bazata pe o succesiune logica a disciplinelor clasificate in discipline fundamentale, de specialitate (obligatorii sau optionale) ~i complementare (optionale sau facultative) , care Tmbina aspectele teoretice cu evolutia practicii de specialitate. in afara . cursurilor, seminariilor, laboratoarelor, pregatirea cuprinde stagii de practica de specialitate (clinici de specialitate) care se desfa~oara atat in cadrul universitatii, cat ~i in institutii publice sau entitati private. Sistemul de evaluare include, in general, o evaluare pe parcurs ~i o evaluare finala. The syllabus has a complex structure, based on a logical succession of subjects classified as basic subjects, specialized subjects (mandatory or optional) and complementary subjects (optional or supplementary), they combine theoretical issues with the evolution of specialized practice. Besides courses, seminars, lab classes, training equally includes sessions of specialized practice (specialized clinics) taking place within universities as well

Access to higher education is based on the baccalaureate diploma (12 years of study) and access to master programmes is based on the BA I BSc I BEng degree.
Bachelor studies presuppse 180-240 credit points, calculated in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)
MA I MSc I MEng studies presuppose 90-120 credit points, calculated in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Exceptionally, depending on the duration of the bachelor studies, the lower ECTS limit can be 60 transferable credits.
For professions regulated by European norms, regulations or good practices, BA I BSc I BEng and MA I MSc I MEng studies can be provided as part of a 5 to 6 year full-time programme of study, thus diplomas are recognised as master's degree certificates (the following fields of study are considered: Medicine - 360 ECTS, Dentistry· 360 ECTS, Pharmacy - 300 ECTS, Veterinary Medicine - 360 ECTS, Architecture - 360 ECTS and Urban Planning - 300 ECTS).
PhD studies result in a doctoral research thesis, while successul candidates are awarded a PhD diploma.
The Romanian higher education system is an open system. All Romanian accredited universities use the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
Academic distance learning programmes shall be organised for the authorised and accredited programmes of study.
· Universities also provide continuing professional training programmes based on the market demand and on the professional retraining needs.
