Who we are………The National Trust was founded in 1895 by three Victorian philanthropists –Miss Octavia Hill, Sir Robert Hunter & Cannon Hardwicke Rawnsley.

Concerned about the impact of uncontrolled development and industrialisation, they set up the Trust to act as a guardian for the nation in the acquisition and protection of threatened coastline, countryside and buildings

To be honest, we are all really busy and don’t get to spend much time together as a family. This has made me think about the time we do spend together – It’s often us all watching television, not really talking or interacting. Today we’ve had to work together to get stuff done, ask each other questions and opinions. Completely different to our normal lives, when can we come back!?’

Better than sitting on the M25 any day!

This is cool!

I’m loving learning something totally different!

Never a dull day at Polesden!
