Synopsis of PhD:
• Harmony and perception of urban
composition in context of multi-
family residencial buildings,
emphasis placed on high-rise
residencial buildings in densly
developed city areas.
• Research for mathematical
algorithrm/model of harmony and
balance in urban enviroment.
• Use of 3D modelling and computer
graphics in aim to visualize beauty or
ugliness.
• Attempt to develop software to
evaluate level of harmony of given
area.
• Influence of high-rise multi-family
residential buildings on human
senses and behawior.
• Research on composition,
proportions and relations between
complex urban areas.
Research interests:
My current research is connected with:
• Sub-objective perception of people
• Attempt to develop a participation survey
• Graphic visualization of data (understanding
harmony)
My questions mostly emphasis on the research :
• Factors and releations that mostly influenced people
in urban complex
• Transformation of participation survey into digital
models of harmony and balances.
• Elements or areas of urban composition
My literature research is based on books of:
• History of Beauty – Umberto Eco
• Scope of Total Architecture – Walter Gropius
• The Seduction of Place – Joseph Rykwert
• Elements of urban composition – Kazimierz Wejhert
• Delirous New York - Rem Koolhaas
Research methods:
• Literature research based on
books listed above.
• Theory and philosophy provide
me with stable base
• Attempt to employ computer
graphics and programming
• Visualization to let people
understand intentions
• Participation survey provides
possibility to evaluate value of
the urban area.
• Attempt to use computer
programming based on neural
network as tool of evaluation of
urban area.
Teaching experience:
• Didactic internship at the Faculty
of Architecture
• In academic semester 2013/14 – I
was fellow teacher of major
course – Architectural Designing 2
• Basic Services – schools,
mountain shelters, hostels,
library, kindergarten
• Course addressed to
sophomore students
• Currently - fellow teacher of major
course, Architectural Designing 3
• Designing of multi-family
residential building
• Course addressed to junior
students
• Course provides
introdaction to principles
and methods of solving
problems related to
designing multi-family
residential complex.
Other relevant experience /
membership of professional bodies:
• I am employed at Wrocław University of
Technology as the lab assistant in Virtual
Medical Laboratory.
• research on laparoscopic simulator
• Research on methods of processing Motion
Capture technology
Skills I developed during work in the lab:
• Developing 3D enviroment in Medical
Simulations
• Skills in 3D modelling and rendering
• Software: Blender, 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD
Proceding jobs:
• Over 4 years of work expirence as assistant of
architect in studio.
• Skills developed: team work ability,
comunication, dealing with stressful situations,
suport office equipement and software,
• Drawing skills - from sketches to final drawings.
Conferences attended:
• City For People - attended as listener. (2014)
• Habitats 2014 (International Conference).
Reactivation of small local communities. My
article will be published in conference book -
March 2015.
• Shapes of Logic – International Conference on
Parametric Design – Wrocław March 2015. I’m
planning to attend to this conference.
Publications:
• „Elements of forming architecture of
small habiats” – chapter in book for
International Conference – Habitats
2014
• integration of people in
landscape, phenomenology of
perception, architecture of
habitat, forming of landscape,
harmony of habitat, vertical
objects in landscape,
• This article is an effort to frame
reasons, relationships and
regulations to develop computer
tools for design (plan) process.
Essential proposition is that
planed object (building) should
not disrupt harmony of habitat.
