All students in Azle ISO, including students served in GTE programs, are held to the same high academic standards and must pass rigorous statewide academic achievement assessments in order to graduate from high school.

Compensatory Education Funds Compensatory Education funds will be used for the Title I teachers, Content Mastery teachers, RI!, Learning Lab teachers, tutors and supplies to improve the overall program for at-risk students. Compensatory Education funds will be used for a program designed to supplement the regular education program for students identified in at-risk situations. Also, Compensatory Education funds are used to supplement instruction at the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) campus in Azle ISO.

Continue Alternative High School To reduce the number of dropouts from the high school and to increase the graduation rate, Azle lSD will continue to implement the Azle Hornet Academy. The lesson cycle will be the foundation for instructional delivery.

The learning environment will be safe, positive, challenging, and orderly.

District Improvement Plan School Year: 2018-2019

Student assessments will be analyzed by teachers, principals, instructional specialists, and curriculum department staff. When an academic need is identified, remediation opportunities will be provided. Students who perform successfully will be provided challenging enrichment opportunities.

Parents will be informed of campus functions and events by newsletters, campus webpages, and monthly calendars. Community and business members will participate in BLT and DL T meetings. Articles of school events, board meetings, and accountability information will be published in Azle News.
