Laura Eden demonstrated her egg tempera technique at the Avon Arts meeting on November 13. She mixed fresh egg yolk with pigment and put it in a squeeze bottle for easy pouring. Laura also showed us the clayboard that will be used for the painting surfaces at the workshop on Nov. 17. By building up lots of thin background layers with big, bold brush strokes, Laura was able to accomplish a lot in a short time. She is a very accomplished watercolorist and has been working with the egg tempera medium since 2002.
