AVIM SHOP SET PLUS Provides an easily transportable and modular
maintenance capability that allows the units to provide logistic
and maintenance support operations across the spectrum of military
operations as well as all Army Aviation platforms.
AGPU The Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU) is a semi-automatic, gas
turbine engine driven, wheel-mounted, self-propelled, enclosed unit
that provides ac/dc electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic power
supporting all Army rotary aircraft. Currently implementing AGPU
Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).
FEDS The Flexible Engine Diagnostic System (FEDS) is a Turbo-shaft
Engine Test Stand using automated data acquisition /instrumentation
and air dynamometer technology to test and verify flight readiness
of engines removed from aircraft for maintenance. Supports UH-1,
CH-47, OH-58, AH-64, UH-60, and H-53 helicopters.
AVA The Aviation Vibration Analyzer (AVA) provides a rugged,
portable, and safe means of performing helicopter, one per
revolution maintenance, for both main and tail rotors. Measures,
records, and processes vibration and blade position information to
diagnose and present measurement, diagnostic, and corrective
information to maintenance personnel to correct faults.
UMARK The Unit Maintenance Aerial Recovery Kit (UMARK) provides
AVIM and AVUM units the ability to quickly rig battle/crash-damaged
non-flyable aircraft or aircraft undergoing maintenance for airlift
evacuation. Kit consists of slings, crossbar, and associated
rigging equipment.
NDTE The Non-Destructive Test Equipment (NDTE) system allows for
the inspection of aircraft components and systems for structural
defects, corrosion, or the presence of foreign objects without
introducing new faults to the systems.
PM Aviation Systems
PM Fixed Wing Fleet
UC-35 Cost effective solution for flights between 600-1800NM. UC-35
provides high-speed transport for personnel and high priority
cargo
C-12 C-12 King Air is the workhorse for flights less than 600 NM.
It is an efficient all weather transport for cargo and
commanders/staff in conducting operations, liaison, administration,
and inspection
RC-12 The RC-12 Guardrail Common Sensor system provides standoff
Communications Intelligence (COMINT), Electronics Intelligence
(Elint) intercept and location capability
C-23 The C-23 Sherpa provides troop and equipment transport,
airdrop, and medical evacuation. It is capable of operating from
short, unpaved airfields

C-26 The C-26 Fairchild Metro-Liner was produced as a cost
effective carrier for high volume travel routes. The aircraft can
carry up to 20 passengers or be utilized for cargo movement.
EO-5 The EO-5 provides low altitude low airborne reconnaissance. It
integrates imagery sensors, communications intercept and direction
finding capabilities to support field commanders.

The 128B/D and the EGI provide Navigation capabilities. The 128B/D
provides GPS/Doppler capability for non-bussed aircraft; UH60A/L,
CH47D while the EGI provides capabilities for bussed aircraft. Both
of these systems play a significant role in RNP/RNAV (Required

capacity and improve the efficiency of the airspace in which we
operate. Examples: reduction in aircraft separation, remove
dependency on routes based on ground navigation aids.
The APX-118 transponder provides Mode S capability (unique aircraft
address for selective interrogations) currently mandated in Europe.
Currently, APX-123 is in development which provides Mode 5
capability; improved security. cryptographic techniques.
The SINCGARS is the Army’s primary tactical radio.
PM AME is responsible for the integration of JTRS AMF-A on all Army
aircraft to include unmanned aircraft systems. AMF will include new
waveforms (Link 16, WNW (Wideband Networking Waveform), SRW
(Soldier Radio Waveform) and will provide capability for legacy
waveforms.
ARC-220 provides the only organic non line-of-sight capability to
the Commander and has played an important role in current combat
operations.
ARC-231 provides line-of-sight capability and replaces legacy
UHF/VHF radios and provides UHF SATCOM. ARC-231 is fielded in the
UH-60M. Additionally, we are currently providing a strap-on SATCOM
