G4S announced the signing of a new three-year contract with Dubai Airports. The contract, which could be extended by a further two years, will see G4S provide its existing operations as well as a range of additional services to Dubai International Airport, the second busiest airport in the world for international passenger traffic. The new contract also allows G4S providing services at Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum International Airport from October 2013.

7.1 Human Recognition Systems Jim Slevin is the managing director of Human Recognition Systems’ Aviation Business Unit.
Human Recognition Systems is a provider of security, access and measurement solutions and
products. Jim Slevin kindly provided answers to visiongain’s questions in June 2014.
Visiongain: Could you outline your role and background in Human Recognition Systems?
Jim Slevin: I am the Managing Director of Human Recognition Systems’ Aviation Business Unit.
My role is to lead this business vertical including Sales, Marketing, Delivery and our Product
Strategy. I also take an active role in leading our major accounts for our larger Airport clients and
Sales. Since joining HRS, I have focused on the delivery of Aviation related products to the leading
airports including London Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, London City, Glasgow
International, Belfast International and Liverpool John Lennon.

Market Visiongain: Could you outline how Human Recognition Systems is involved in aviation
security?
Jim Slevin: We specialise in Identity Assured Management (IAM) solutions for the Aviation market.
With over ten years’ experience in the aviation industry, our proven security, access and
measurement solutions are widely used, enabling airports to deliver unique and personalised
passenger experiences; while increasing operational efficiency, retail conversion and
airside/landside security. We provide airports, airlines and their stakeholders with trusted
passenger and staff management solutions. Our goal is to establish IAM as the global standard for
safe and effective management of airports, with our products supporting the vision of a fully
biometrically enabled airport for passengers and staff alike.
Our products are currently active in 10 major UK airports with over 161,000 passengers using our
MFlow products every day. MFlow Journey has processed in excess of 100 million faces, with
MFlow Track processing over 12 million passengers every year. By the end of this year 2,500
authorised signatories will be using our MTrust solution across 800 sponsor companies to apply for
