The conclusion of this first step in the process will be a repair/refurbishment overview that LGSTX Services will provide to our customer for review and selection of refurbishment options. Disassembly During this process LGSTX Services mechanics will remove, at minimum, all enclosures and guards as well as the unit’s wheels, to ensure full visibility of the unit core and to provide clear access for performing a complete unit cleaning. The engine and transmission will be removed at this point if the customer selected to have them replaced or rebuilt. Reassembly In this phase of the process LGSTX Services will conduct the complete reassemble based on the customer selected refurbishment options to include items as significant as a new engine or transmission, to as minor as interior direction decals if selected by customer. All component replacement is accomplished only using proven rebuilt or OEM parts and components. As a final step in the paint process LGSTX Services will apply all customer selected exterior decals to the unit. Quality Control and Detail Inspection As a final phase to the refurbishment process a LGSTX Service Quality Assurance Inspector will perform a multi-step check on the completed unit to ensure that all customer selected options and specifics have been met. In addition, a final operational condition inspection and overall appearance check of the unit meets our stringent refurbishment guidelines. During this final phase all components are checked and final adjustments are made if required. Upon completion of this phase, the LGSTX Services Quality Assurance Inspector will produce and sign a Final Inspection Check Sheet which will be provided to the customer prior to final delivery of the unit. Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Refurbishment Benefits • Refurbishment costs typically results in 40%- 60% savings when compared to new units. • Cost typically can be taken as unit maintenance cost versus a capital expenditure, thus reducing amortization. • Allows for flexibility in scheduling units into the program by permitting the customer to send one or multiple units through the refurbishment process at a time. • Allows for unit conformity, both internally and externally, which decreases operator cross training cost and increases safety. • Offers conformity in components and parts permitting for the customer to potentially cut their component and parts inventory, and carrying cost. 145 Hunter Dr. Wilmington, Ohio 45177 866.931.2337 www.lgstx.com an ATSG Company
