Avian Bird Flu June 2015
Aug 07, 2015
It has been currently reported that more than 9 million birds have died from the flu or have been euthanized to prevent further spread in Minnesota.
The European Union and most of Central America have banned the import of poultry from Minnesota. So far no humans have shown illness from contact with the birds infected with the virus. Some farmers have already begun restocking their farms.
Researchers are still looking into wild birds that may be transmitting the virus as they will start migrating again in the fall.
