The wire retention clip is in the bracket body and the whole bracket is functioning to support the clip. Just click in the wire – no mechanical parts to move or break. • Simple, fast “Click” in archwire seating • Low friction slot design - lowest friction design available • Twin design - can be ligated when necessary • Easy to see ID and positioning markers • Low profile for comfort • Almost invisible - industry best aesthetics • Smooth, rounded edges for maximum patient comfort • Proprietary biocompatible copolymer acrylic dispersion material • Faster to use than complicated door designs or other self- ligating brackets No mechanical parts, no slides or doors No separate moving parts Simply click the wire into the slot HOW TO CORRECTLY SEAT ARCHWIRES • The wire director has a seating bar and notched edges for easy placement. • Place the seating end directly in front of the bracket so the wires are in the notches. • Apply gentle pressure against the wire until you hear or feel the “click.” UNSEATING ARCHWIRES • First remove any ligatures that may be in place. • Place a straight instrument (like a ligature director) under the archwire just distal or mesial to the bracket and lift the wire out of the slot. • It will come out the opposite way it went in. 991-900 Wire Placing Instrument

INNOVATIVE MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURINGAvair SL® brackets are made from a proprietary biocompatible material with a small amount of polycrystalline alumina for increased strength. The material and the manufacturing process for Avair SL® represents an advanced state of technology, art, and science. The brackets are clear and nearly invisible on the teeth. The material of the Avair SL® bracket won’t deform during treatment. Avair SL® delivers orthodontic forces without the brittle and abrasive characteristics of sapphire or ceramic. It will not shatter on removal. Avair SL® brackets are formed in a unique manner which incorporates the clip as one piece with the bracket giving it strength and eliminating the need to add or remove parts. With proper hygiene, Avair SL® brackets will remain clean and nearly invisible. CLINICAL BENEFITS• This chart shows the superior torque strength of the
biocompatible material of Avair SL® brackets compared to traditional aesthetic brackets.
• High material stability• Maximum tie wing strength• Torque fracture resistance, better than ceramic or sapphire• High abrasion resistance• Material does not shatter when removing the bracket. It can
be removed and repositioned.
MECHANICAL LOCKING BASEThe Avair SL® brackets feature a mechanical locking base with micro-etching and additional undercuts on the base for improved bond strength. There is no need for any additional coating or silane. Shear Test results are available at www.OrthoQuest.com/AvairSL.

BONDING & DEBONDING
ORAPRO® Light Cure AdhesiveAvair SL® brackets are easily bonded to and removed from teeth. For best results in bonding, we recommend using ORAPRO® Light Cure or No Mix Adhesives. More information can be found on page 42.
G011C Aesthetic Debonding InstrumentWhen debonding Avair SL®, we recommend the Aesthetic Debonding instrument. This instrument grips the entire bracket firmly at the bracket and tooth interface to ensure a clean, smooth removal without breaking or shattering. This allows you to reposition brackets if necessary.
ARCHWIRE SEQUENCES Avair SL® brackets utilize the benefits of lighter forces and ultra-low friction. For best treatment results, we recommend using OrthoQuest® superelastic and heat treated nickel titanium arch wires. Stage 1 Initial 014, 016, 018Wire size determined by malocclusion
EAsy pOsiTiOninG Colored dots are placed on the distal gingival tie wings. A color chart is included in each case of brackets. Additional marking at the center top and bottom of the base help to position the bracket on the long axis of the tooth.
