Project Description The overall project involves the re-imagining and re-design of
approximately 30 acres of landscape at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Previously constructed Phase I involved removing turf grass, grading new land forms and installing gabion basket retaining walls west of Terminal 2.
Phase II will complete the grading and gabion work as well as install new landscape, new decomposed granite and renovate the existing drip irrigation system for the entire 30 acres.

Scope of Work Removal of: Turf Grass, Concrete Header, CMU
Walls, Retaining Walls, Trees, Decomposed Granite, Rip-Rap and other removals.
Provide Earthwork Grading, Earthwork Import, Concrete Cut Off Walls, Gabion Basket Retaining Walls, Gabion Basket Accent Walls, Storm Water Pollution and Prevention, Transporting and Planting Salvaged Landscape Materials from an existing on-site salvage nursery.

Scope of Work Provide and Plant New Landscaping Materials,
Decomposed Granite Landscape Ground Cover, New Landscape Boulders, New and Renovated Landscape Irrigation Systems, Traffic Control, Concrete Barrier Removal and Replacement, and various Miscellaneous Items of Work as shown on the plans.

Granite and Replace with New Madison Gold Granite; 2-1/2” Depth.
Protect in Place Existing Rip-Rap, Land Form Graphics & Landscape.
Add a New Maintenance Access at Coyote Basin. Fix any Erosion Rilling.

Alternate 2 (24th St) Renovate the Western Corners of 24th
Street & Harrison/ N. Sky Harbor Circle/ S. Sky Harbor Circle with New Land Form Grading, Plants, Irrigation & Madison Gold DG; 2-1/2” Depth.
Protect in Place and Connect to Existing 24th Street Irrigation System.

Special Instructions Contractor Responsible for Locating Existing Utilities
and Repairing any Damage in a Prompt Manor. No Planting of Nursery Stock between June 1st &
September 15th. No Bucket Planting will be Allowed and Plants must be
Installed Prior to DG Placement. Saguaros recently Salvaged by Sky Train that are
located in the Flood Field will be Installed by this Project. A Crane Permit from the FAA Prior to Date Palm
Relocation. Contractor to Coordinate with Phoenix Aviation.

Special Instructions Purple Pipe is being Installed for Future Identification
Purposes, Purple Valve Boxes will not be Required. Protect in Place any Irrigation Lines that Supply Water
to Existing Plant Material that is To Remain or Outside the Limits of Work.
Traffic Control Plans must be Submitted and Approved by Phoenix Aviation Prior to any Roadway Restrictions being Implemented.
ADOT Approval will be Required for Traffic Control on the Kokopelli Slope (Far East End of Alternative 2).
Night Work is Encouraged for Areas with Difficult Traffic Management Access.

The City of Phoenix SBE Goals Committee has established an SBE participation goal of 10% for this contract.
The successful submitter is required to meet or exceed the Required SBE Goal for ALL work performed on the construction contract.
The Prime Contractor is required to demonstrate good faith efforts to utilize certified SBE firms to achieve this goal during the life of this contract.
