The 24th annual Morristown Festival on the Green will take place Sunday, Sept. 30 from noon to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free for the family-friendly autumn kickof, produced by the nonproft Morristown Partnership with the help of new and returning event sponsors and supporters. The Green and adjacent downtown streets will be lined with exhibitors showcasing local businesses, restaurants and notable community groups and organizations ofering a bevy of food, entertainment, services and exhibitions for all to enjoy. “We are pleased to have more than 160 exhibitors again this year showcasing their restaurant, retail and service businesses, as well as many non-proft organizations that help our community thrive,” said Karen Carvelli, director of development for the Morristown Partnership. “Morristown has become the destination of choice in northern New Jersey and the annual festival is one of the many reasons why.” Live entertainment on four stages throughout the downtown will set the tone for an exciting day. The Heart of Gold Band, an American rock band and perennial festival favorite, will take the stage sponsored by the County College of Morris. Meanwhile, modern country tribute band BIG HIX will mark its frst festival appearance. The popular Beer Tent will be returning to the festival this year and is being produced in partnership with The Famished Frog and HOPS Craft Bar. Open from noon to 5 p.m. for 21-plus guests only, pricing will be $3 per ticket. Attendees will have the choice between a domestic draft for 1 ticket and a variety of craft drafts for 2 tickets. Beer Tent guests will also get the best seat in the house to enjoy Guy Smiley and BIG HIX appearing on the Star Stage. “The support of many longstanding sponsors, as well as an infux of new sponsors, makes this event thrive each year. Sponsor enthusiasm, community participants and nearly 60,000 attendees make Morristown — and the Morristown Festival on the Green — truly shine,“ Carvelli noted. The school ofers a curriculum built on academic excellence and character development as well as co-curricular options outside the classroom including musical theater, math league and technology. “At Far Hills, we value and thrive on the strength of community, which fourishes in an event like this. We look forward to meeting and welcoming many prospective renters and having them see frsthand all that Morristown has to ofer” Silvestri added. Located on Prospect Street, just a stone’s throw from the Morristown Green, Mill Creek Residential’s Modera properties boast chic urban living and supreme walkability in the desirable destination town. 40 North Restaurants, headquartered in Morristown, is a longstanding participant and frst-time sponsor of the festival this year.
