Additional ServiceRecommendations
In the process of inspecting your vehicle forsafety and reliability, your technician JOSH Ymade the following observations andrecommends that you do the necessary repairsto resolve these issues.
Red: requires immediate attention. Yellow: in need of attention soon.
Engine Rebuild/Replace:RECOMMEND ENGINE REPLACMENTPER FAILED HEADGASKET - FOUNDOIL IN RADIATOR AND COOLANTRESERVOIR , OIL IS MUDDY AND HASMETAL SHAVINGS VISIBLE - REPLACEENGINE.
Item Description
This is the entire process needed to either rebuildor replace the vehicle's engine. This is a processneeded when the vehicle's engine is in need ofserious repair.
Reason
Without replacing or rebuilding a damaged engine, the car will not be able to function and will be left
useless.
Radiator Replacement: PER OILCONTAMINATION FROMHEADGASKET FAILURE.
Item Description
The engine generates heat when it is running; thisheat must be removed to prevent damage to theengine. Coolant circulates throughout theengine and absorbs this heat. The water pumppushes the coolant through the radiator (where it iscooled) and returns it to the engine once more toabsorb the engine’s heat, before returning it to theradiator to be cooled again.
Reason
If not replaced, a corroded and leaking radiator willcause the engine to overheat.
Radiator
Radiator Hose Replacement - Upper:RECOMMEND REPLACMENT DUE TOOIL CONTAMINATION IN COOLINGSYSTEM
Item Description
An engine has two radiator hoses: lower and upper. The lower hose brings coolant (a mixture of waterand antifreeze) that has been cooled in theradiator to the engine, where it circulates andabsorbs heat. The upper hose carries hotcoolant from the engine back to the radiator to berecooled. The radiator hoses are located betweenthe radiator and the engine block.
Reason
If not replaced, radiator hoses, which are madefrom rubber so they deteriorate over time, willcrack and leak causing the engine to run hot oroverheat.
Upper Radiator Hose
Radiator Hose Replacement - Lower:RECOMMENDED DUE TO OIL INCOOLING SYSTEM
Item Description
An engine has two radiator hoses: lower and upper. The lower hose brings coolant (a mixture of waterand antifreeze) that has been cooled in theradiator to the engine, where it circulates andabsorbs heat. The upper hose carries hotcoolant from the engine back to the radiator to berecooled. The radiator hoses are located betweenthe radiator and the engine block
Reason

Radiator Hose
Coolant Expansion TankReplacement: RECOMMENDREPACMENT PER OIL IN COOLANTRESERVOIR DUE TO HEADGASKETFAILURE.
Item Description
As the engine heats up, coolant expands. Thecoolant expansion tank provides additional storagefor the expanded coolant and is the reservoir wherethe driver tops off or adds coolant to the engine. The tank is normally clear in color so the driver cansee the coolant level.
Reason
If not replaced, the coolant level in the expansiontank will consistently leak.
Coolant Expansion Tank
Long Life Coolant flush:RECOMMEND COOLANT FLUSH TOFLUSH ANY CONTAMINATION FROMHEATER CORE -
Item Description
Engine coolant is used to transfer heat away fromthe engine components to prevent wear anddamage. A minimum required amount of coolant isnecessary at all times. The coolant is stored in areservoir that has a sensor that measures the levelor amount of coolant to make sure it is at the
necessary level.
Reason
A faulty coolant level sensor can fail to properlywarn you when your coolant level is low. Notmaintaining the proper level of engine coolant canlead to the components of the engine overheatingand cause severe damage.
AC Evacuation and Recharge: PERENGINE REPLACMENT
Item Description
AC systems require recharging with freon whenthey become weak and do not perform well, or startto make unusual noise. The importance of thecorrect amount of Freon added during the chargingprocedure is extremely important. The efficientoperation of the air-conditioning system dependsgreatly on the correct amount of refrigerantinstalled in the system.
Reason
A low charge will result in poor cooling under highheat loads due to a lack of reserve refrigerant. Thiscan cause the clutch cycling switch of thecompressor to click on and off.
AC Recharge/Refresh
Heater Hose: RECOMMEND BOTHHEATER HOSES FROM ENGINE TOFIREWALL PER CONTAMINATION
Item Description
The heater hoses are a vital component of the HVACsystem. They allow hot coolant to enter and leavethe heater core to heat the interior of the vehicle.
Reason
Over time the heater hoses will get hard and brittleand can crack or break causing a coolant leak. Thecoolant leak can occur in the engine bay or in thecabin of the vehicle. A leak in the vehicles interiorcan damage other components such as electricalsystems and the carpet.
Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Replacement: REQUIRED FORENGINE REPLACMENT - NEW MOTORIS MISSING MANIFOLD.
Item Description
An exhaust manifold gasket is a gasket that liesbetween the engine block and exhaust manifold atthe point where they connect. It is designed andtested to withstand the incredibly high temperatureof the engine block and to contain the strongpressure of emissions pushing their way throughthe motor and out to the manifold. The manifoldgasket is typically attached to both surfaces withgasket sealer and then secured by the bolts thathold the manifold to the block.
Reason
If not replaced, a worn down manifold gasket canbegin to allow leaks or spaces to form. The manifoldgaskets are made of composite material that willusually hold up well to the demands of the engine, but on occasion, they can start to leak or tear.
Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Axle Nut: BOTH FRONT AXLE NUTS -AXLE NUTS WHERE STAKED TO AXLEAND HAD TO BE DAMAGED INORDER TO REMOVE AXLES -- AXLETHREADS ARE OKAY.
Item Description
The axle nut is a fastener used to secure your axleto your spindle. The axle nut also keeps yourvehicles wheel bearings in place.
Reason
If your axle nut is broken or damaged then yourvehicles axle could become disconnected from yourvehicles spindle. If this happens your vehicle will berendered immobilized.
