Maximum passage width with minimum structural widthsDORMA RST AutomaticSpace-Saving Doors aredesigned so that the doorleaves perform a swivel-and-slide motion. The associated pivot bearings are located in an eccentric arrangementabove and below the passagearea. As a result, the motioncycle is performed within thenarrowest of spaces. DORMARST Automatic Space-Saving Doors are supplied instandard sizes ready forinstallation (with installationand commissioning also available on request).

They satisfy high require-ments in terms of their functional and operationalreliability and – as theirmethod of operation corresponds to that of swingdoors – they can be installedin escape routes without anymodification. If the operatoris not switched on, the leaves can be operatedmanually without difficulty.

The door leaves of DORMARST Automatic Space-SavingDoors operate within thetightest of spaces. Just ahand’s width of clearance tothe wall is sufficient for the

support structure and theopen door leaves. And evenat its apex, the arc describedby the door leaf only extendsa few centimetres beyondthe door front.

Installation is no problem –a width of just 1.3 metres issufficient in order to enjoyall the convenience of thiscontemporary application.And a 2.0 m clear passage

width within an installationwidth of less than 2.5 m – for example – illustrates the virtually unbeatablecompactness offered by theRST.
