You may have seen the Sunflower which always faces towards the sun.
Our project is based on the same theme of this natural phenomena.
And our project is a attempt to recreate that effect with the help of sensors, microcontroller and gear DC motors.
The problem of energy crisis can be solved by developing ways to harness renewable sources of energy.
The most cheap and widely available source of energy is THE SUN and an efficient way to utilize sun`s energy is the use of solar panels.
The Traditional Way
The traditional solar cells are purely dependent on the initial placement of the solar panel.

This is a microcontroller based automatic system that is capable of making intelligent decisions and guiding the solar panel towards the sun by the joint action taken by the sensors, microcontroller and geared DC motors.

The result
Future Enhancements
As the sun is assumed to be at infinite distance, more then one solar panels can be attached with only one detection module.
It can be used on the satellites in space to prevent solar blackouts.
