What is Autism ?
•Autism is a lifelong developmental disability.
•It affects communication and relation with other people.
•It creates problems in the perception of the world.
What is Autism ?
• Occurs within first 3 years of life.
• This disorders affects stereotyped behaviors, interest and activities.
• First described about ‘early childhood autism’ by Dr. Leo Kanner in 1943.
• Sometimes, people with autism may show aggressive or self-injuries behavior.
The Symptoms of Autism Delay or abnormal function;
Social interaction
Language of social communication
Imaginary or symbolic play
The Diagnosis of Autism To diagnose a child whether he/she with autism or not
Impairment in social interaction(at least two symptoms)• - difficulties in social
interactions.• - lack of
communication with peers • - failure to
participation emotional and social interaction.
The Diagnosis of Autism Communication disorders(at least one) - delay in the development of spoken language or the lack of language development.
- using repetitive,stereotyped or very subjective language
