– Accreditation process: exists since 1998 (based on the German accreditation process) and we at the moment have 34 accredited SLab‘s. One more SLab has put in it‘s application now in April 2016.

– Current WG / TF: specialist / expert for sleep medicine (finished curriculum since 2008) 2015 due to important changes for being a specialist in a certain field of medicine, the future of somnology was not known. In Dec 2015 the Chamber of Doctors opened the door so that now we now can apply for specialisation, which we will do before July 1st 2016.

In March 2016 we again had a press conference concerning the WSD with some very nice response by the media (print, radio, TV).

The ASRA has held press conferences concerning the

WSD since 2010 to inform the public about the consequences of chronic sleep disorders (heart failure, stroke risk, drowsy driving, etc.)
