Michael Roberts CFP

Head of Private Wealth, HFS Asset Management

HFS Asset Management is a SFC-licensed firm based in Hong Kong that provides professional asset management to high net worth, international families who require bespoke financial solutions of the highest standard. The HFS team is comprised of experienced professionals who want to work in a collaborative environment in order to offer transparent, client-centric, conflict-free advice to wealthy individuals.

The firm offers its clients a broad array of exclusive, tailor-made financial and banking services through its strategic agreements with well-established Private Banks and other financial institutions.

These strategic alliances enable HFS to provide its clients with superior investment research and selection, individualised portfolio management and administration along with cross-border legal and taxation advice.

The group has pioneered an unique investment selection and portfolio management system which manages individual portfolios using the cost-effective, bulk trading systems used by Fund Managers. Each portfolio is owned and managed individually, meaning that investments are held in the name of the individual rather than pooled with hundreds of other investors (as in typical Managed Funds or Investment Trusts).

HFS uses a co-investment model and recommends only those investments that its principals are buying for themselves. As well, the advisers are paid by their client rather than by commission from financial institutions. These principles ensure that the firm’s advisers act solely in the best interests of their clients.

In summary, HFS has positioned itself as an innovative boutique advisory firm, providing specialist, tailor-made financial advice and services to discerning families using highly developed, efficient systems.

HFS seeks strategic partners to take the business to the next level and help achieve its future growth aspirations internationally. The new partners will share the benefits from the economies of scale that result from the implementation of new workplace and portfolio management technologies.
