'Whereas it appears to me Edward Gough Whit-lam, Prime Minister, that action may be necessary in terms of the GATT Arrangement Regarding Inter-national Trade in Textiles in respect of imports of certain items of apparel, I, Edward Gough Whitlam do hereby request the Textiles Authority
(i) to undertake an inquiry on the following ques-tions. <a) whether the importation of items of
apparel of a kind falling within sub-item 60.04,6, 60.05.1, 60.05.2; items 61.02, 61.03, 61.04 in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff 1966-1973 is causing mar-ket disruption as defined in the GATT Arrangement Regarding International Trade in Textiles
(b) if it is found that exports of any or all of such products from particular sources are causing market disruption in accord with that definition (i) should restraint measures be nego-
tiated for any or all of such exports in terms of the Arrangement
(ii) if so (a) what should be the kvel of

Prices Regulation Ordinance 1949-1974
PRICES ORDER No. 3 OF 1974
I JOHN CECIL McFARLAND, Controller of Prices, in pursuance of Section 20 of the Prices Regulation Ordinance 1949-1974, hereby order as follows:
1. This Order takes effect on 22 May 1974. 2 Prices Order No. 2 of 1974 dated the twenty-
sixth day of February 1974 and notified in the Australian Government Gazette on 28 February 1974 is revoked.
3. In this Order: 'motor spirit' means a liquid petroleum or
shale product normally marketed for use as fuel in internal combustion engines with spark ignition, excluding power kerosene but including motor spirit blended with distillate from coal products or with alcohol;
'premium motor spirit' means motor spirit which has a research octane rating of not less than ninety-eight;
'standard motor spirit' means motor spirit other than premium motor spirit.
4. The maximum price at which premium motor spirit may be sold by wholesale in the Australian Capital Territory is fixed at and declared to be a price determined at the rate of 51.3 cents per gallon.
5. The maximum price at which standard motor spirit may be sold by wholesale in the Australian Capital Territory is fixed at and declared to be a price determined at the rate of 48.1 cents per gallon.
6. The maximum price at which premium motor spirit may be sold by retail in the Australian Capital Territory is fixed at and declared to be a price determined at the rate of 59.6 cents per gallon.
7. The maximum price at which standard motor spirit may be sold by retail in the Australian Capital Territory is fixed at and declared to be a price determined at the rate of 56.2 cents per gallon.
8. The maximum price at which a mixture ot premium motor spirit and standard motor spirit may be sold by retail in the Australian Capital Territory is fixed at and declared to be a price determined in accordance with the formula ax + by, where:
a is the quantity, in gallons, of premium motor spirit contained in the mixture;
b is the quantity, in gallons, of standard motor spirit contained in the mixture;
x is the price of the premium motor spirit fixed in accordance with clause 6; and
y is the price of the standard motor spirit fixed in accordance with clause 7.

Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1974
DECLARATION
IN pursuance of sub-section 163A (1) of the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1974, I, Gordon Munro Bryant, Minister of State for the Capital Territory, HEREBY REVOKE the Declaration of Controlled Parking Zones made on 1 March 1974 and published in the Australian Government Gazette on 5 March 1974 and HEREBY DECLARE the areas of land in the Division of City in the Australian Capital Terri-tory, hatched on the plan annexed hereto and identi-fied as 'Annexure A' to be controlled parking zones for the purpose of that Ordinance.
This Declaration is to take effect on and from date of gazettal.
