AUBURN POPULATION 85,393 (ABS, 2014) Second fastest growing suburb in NSW Culturally and linguistically diverse A first place of settlement for refugees
and migrants 2007 – 2012 received 9,498 new
arrivals with the highest proportion of humanitarian entrants per capita of any Council area in NSW (Refugee Council, n.d.)
People come from Afghanistan, followed by China and then Iraq
