One of our high schools will be selected to pilot the new IPG Database Application in Spring ’09.
The first grade levels to be online for that second semester pilot launch will be 5th, 8th, and 9th grade World Geography.

The Mock Election activities provide an opportunity for us to instill in our students the importance of civic participation. AISD results in the Mock Election will be reported to both the National Student/Parent Mock Election as well as the Texas Secretary of States’ Project V.O.T.E. campaign. Project V.O.T.E.’s reporting deadline is October 27 and this is why we must have your results by noon on this date.

Hear ye, hear ye!
And so it was, in the course of their deliberations on the mighty elephant in the room, the aforesaid department chairs of Austin ISD decided with all solemnity on September 10, 2008 to address the matter of Collapsing societies, it was resolved that: - the Chairs would continue their “summer” (ahem!) reading through the Fall season, and-would gather themselves as one in the forum of a holiday feast to be held at the manor of Lord Furgeson on a December date to be determined at the next meeting of ye olde Department Chairs, the 29th day of October.
