Personal Statement

I will be graduating April 2011 with a BA in Psychology. I have worked in various fields; information technology, legal, business, medical. I have three Associate degrees; Women’s Studies, Computer Science, and Liberal Studies. I have an intense interest and desire to work within the Psychology field. My immediate and long-term career goals are to work in counseling and pursue an MA in Psychology. My experience in life has taught me to observe people dealing with their life problems and I have seen people struggling with their own form of anxiety. I have always cared for people and I think what motivated me to pursue Psychology was my desire to help people improve their mental health and outlook on life. I think with advanced education and my desire to learn and help people, this will make me an effective counselor.
