Emblematic of Augusta’s significant roots in art and medicine, Botanica magnificently portrays a

marriage of art and life sciences capturing the Garden City’s spirit: earthly and otherworldly, at

once a magnificent vision of the everyday miracles around us. Outstanding dance, costumes

and music will set an exciting and ethereal scene to remember.

Flawless classical ballet blended with en edge of contemporary resulting in a new style of concert

dance. The superb quality and creativity of Ballet Hispanico will inspire and uplift audiences.

Second annual Bike for the Ballet in collaboration with the Augusta Sports Council. This

whimsical art-meets-sport event is the ONLY training ride for the ESi Ironman 70.3 Augusta.

Tutu-clad cyclists throughout the Southeast will create a surreal downtown scene raising

awareness of the Ballet’s long-term outreach fighting childhood obesity. Following the ride a

special celebration dedicated to the athleticism of dance for cyclists and non-cyclists alike.

and be well, affordably and for life. Special guest Chef Steve Sitnick, dean of hospitality

education for Augusta’s future Helms Career Institute (opening Fall 2012).
