Father Edward’s Notebook Dear Parishioners, If you are attending Mass on Saturday, I'm away in Oshkosh, to celebrate and witness the marriage of some very good friends of mine. Following the wedding I will celebrate the Vigil Mass at St. Raphael. We welcome Fr. Tom Long, the pastor of St. Raphael the Archangel in Oshkosh who graciously agreed to swap Masses on Saturday. On Sunday for our Kermis Mass, we welcome Bishop Ricken as main celebrant and homilist. We also will re-dedicate the St. Peter stained glass window, damaged last year during the tree fall. Please take a commemorative holy card with you. We have many wonderful bucket raffles and items in the silent auction. Thank you to everyone who donated items. I'm offering three different items which may be of interest. In the bucket raffle, I have offered a pizza party for families either hosted at the Church, your home, or my home. When I was in high school and college, I worked at a pizzeria and perfected the art of gourmet pizzas. In the silent auction, I am offering a soup of the month. During my time at St. Raphael, I prepared a soup each week for their Lenten "Soup and Study." They were always a hit! Also, in the silent auction, I am happy to offer again Dinner with Father. I will prepare a four course meal for you and your guests. Feel free to help with the dishes after! Our Parish Kermis causes fond memories for me, because it was at the Kermises in Lincoln and Brussels that I spent the last two days with my mother before she passed last year in September. As we celebrate our Kermis, it is a time for us to give thanks for all the blessings we have received from God. As a parish, we give thanks today for our past, and we thank God ahead of time for the blessings of the future. Dear Parishioners,

Oshkosh, to celebrate and witness the marriage of some
very good friends of mine. Following the wedding I will
celebrate the Vigil Mass at St. Raphael. We welcome Fr.

window, damaged last year during the tree fall. Please
