Preparing to serve in Kalimantan, Indonesia with “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” - Proverbs 21:31 (KJV) Standardizaon will be followed by 2 weeks of non-technical orientaon training. The goal of orientaon is to equip Jodie and me to thrive physically, emoonally and spiritually as a family in a cross-cultural ministry seng. Ulmately, even aſter all our training and preparaons are complete, “safety is of the LORD” and that’s true whether we live in suburban America or the jungles of Borneo. We must be faithful to carry out the work set before us with excellence, being “prepared against the day of bale,” knowing that we are in His hands, the best place we could be. Thank you for your vital partnership as we prepare to share Christ’s love in isolated corners of the world. A ugust 17th marks our first day of standardizaon and orientaon training at Mission Aviaon Fellowship headquarters in Nampa, ID. This is our final stateside training requirement as we prepare to serve as a pilot/ mechanic family in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Standardizaon training lays the foundaon for the safety and professionalism for which MAF is widely known, despite the fact that we serve in some of the most remote and technically challenging regions in the world. As a pilot/mechanic, I’ll aend 8 weeks of technical training, learning MAF’s standard operang procedures for both flight and maintenance. In His service, The Toews Family Photo by Ma Scheer
