TREASURE COAST WILDLIFE CENTER This non-profit organization has a thirty year history of service to sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and provides factual information to the public. Located at the Loop Road Preserve, TCWC provides outreach educational programs for school groups and others in the community. Public visits are suspended until a new facility is constructed, but wild animal patients can be dropped off 7 days a week between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. The adjacent 6-acre Possum Long Nature Center was named after Clifton “Possum” Long, a beloved science teacher who previ- ously owned the land.
