J.T. Lambert’s 2017-2018 Musical Theatre Production “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” Audition Packet & CONTRACT Congratulations! You have taken the first step to becoming involved with J.T. Lambert’s 2018 musical theatre production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. The directors have put this audition packet together to inform you and your family about the audition, rehearsal, and performance process as well as to provide you with your audition materials. Please go home and read through the ENTIRE packet with your parent or guardian AND complete/ turn in the last page (front and back) to the main office by November 16th . J.T. Lambert’s Spring Musical Theatre Production for 2018 is “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Our version is the full version of the award-winning Broadway show and film. There are opportunities for solos and ensemble roles. This is a show that is mainly sung, so all students auditioning must sing . Dancing will also be requested. Keep in mind that many will audition, but the directors can only cast so many students in this production. The more prepared and practiced (and polite) students have better chances to be cast. Rehearsals will begin in December and will continue until the performances. Rehearsals will most likely be after school until 5:15pm on Tuesdays, 6pm-8pm on Thursdays and Saturdays starting in February. Please list ALL conflicts so we can plan accordingly. If you plan to be involved in other activities that might conflict with rehearsals or performances (or simply have a busy schedule), please DO NOT audition. We will only cast students that can attend all scheduled rehearsals and be at each performance. In the event that an understudy is assigned to you (meaning there is a possibility you may miss a show), the understudy is guaranteed to perform at least one of the three days, even if you become available. In order to remain in the cast, you must sustain passing grades in all subjects and positive behavior. Failure to maintain such records will result in removal from the cast. The directors will frequently check to make sure grades and discipline are superior with team teachers.
