Visitor GuidelinesWelcome! Our guidelines help to protect the Museum’s collection and works on loan, and to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. When in doubt, please ask a Museum representative for assistance or visit mfah.org/visit for additional details.
Face masks must be worn by all visitors older than 2, and by all staff members.
Coat check is not available; large bags (more than 11x15 inches) are not permitted; no baby backpacks or children on shoulders; soft front-facing carriers and strollers are allowed.
The MFA Café is closed at this time; outside food and drink are not permitted; drinking fountains are not available.
Social distancing is required and will be enforced; parties may remain together; children must stay with adults at all times.
Please help our preservation efforts by remaining one foot away from all works of art. Touching works of art is strictly prohibited.
Handheld cameras—without flash, tripod, or selfie-stick—may be used to take photos for personal use, except where indicated. Photo shoots are not allowed in Museum facilities; drones are not permitted. Please ask a Museum representative if you are in doubt.
