OPENING QUESTIONS

For this stage of research I staged a virtual survey for a range of different ages to use. The average age of the users was 32 years old, with the youngest at 16 and eldest as 64. The different generations of people allowed me to gain a better understanding of what the mass market wants. I also had 45% male, 55% female in order to try to have an equal set of results.

QUESTION 1

Of those interviewed, every person responded with a yes when asked “if they watched movies regularly.” This means our results will come straight from our very customers, making the results all the more cogent.

From these results we can see a surge in interest and viewing of Sci-Fi and Thriller genres within our surveyed audience. This means that my genre is a widely viewed one, cementing a certain aspect of success upon its release.

What is particularly interesting in these results is the clear interest with Yzma. My initial idea of a villain was female, and these results confirm that this will be successful through the curve of interest for female villains over their male counterparts.
