Noir contains usually contains crime, romance and drama. The audience of film noir want to be entertained and thrilled, since noir is usually based with in the decade of the 40s/50s people can take an interest with the styles that a viewed within films in this era, noir is also widely American based in cities such as, New york. This could give people an alternative perspective on the city in this time era. People are also interested in the aspect of “future noir” or even, “neo-noir” this can include films such as, Sin City and Watchmen which are very dark, however have a more modern approach to style, visual elements and the overall theme. Film Noir attracts and appeals to a wide demographic, because of the different aspects the film has, including cinematography, it isn’t necessarily directed to one specific gender or age.
