What it is

• This survey was conducted to get to know the audience better and know how to target them more appropriately with my project.

• 30 people answered the questionnaire/ survey fully and to a satisfactory standard and these were the results.

Why 30

• 30 is a relatively easy number to calculate the percentage of and sample down to show who likes what and which is the most popular answer.

• Boys = 24 – 80%• Girls = 6 – 20%

• It is thought that boys are more likely to watch a horror movie than girls and to make sure if this is true we started our survey with the previous question.

• We wanted to get to know the age of our audience to know how to shape our project and how many conventions of horror we could add to make it attractive for the age range.

• I gathered information to see which type of horror film would be the most popular with my audience then I would go with the largest percentage to generalize to the wider targeted audience.

• I collected information to see what films are popular at the moment and to see if I could add conventions from those films to make my project more appealing.

Cinema viewing of horror

• I was curious to find out if horror films are still popular at the cinema and if people still believed they were worth paying for as soon as they were initially released. More than 50% answered positively in saying they either love to or would go occasionally.

other question.

• This question is to see whether or not most of the first viewing experiences are around the general age of teenagers and to see on average how many teenagers see their first horror film when they are young.

• The information gathered by this shows that no one below 15 or 16 would want to view a horror movie however a massive part of the audience would view a horror between the ages of 17 and 20+.
