Female police detective, Detective Inspector Diana Apollo is on the hunt for a serial killer.

There has been mysterious disappearances over the last few weeks, with body parts appearing at their last known location.

As the disappearances continue, and the finger count increases, Diana finds herself on the hunt for a psychopath serial killer.

She tracks the serial killer down to a man called Richard Miles, who was once a wealthy business man, who lost his job, his house, his wife and turned to drugs, alcohol and became a psychopath. No one has seen him for two years and do not know his location now.

Diana tracks Miles down to an abandoned derelict building, where all the bodies are found, but she is still yet to find Miles and he is somewhere in the building.

The scares will be achieved through a tense scene in an abandoned/decrepit building trying to track down Richard Miles.

The scene will occur in an abandoned derelict building, where she is trying to capture the villain of the film.

The scares will be created through silent music, heavy breathing, flashes of light and fast camera work.

The scares can also occur through the brutal murders of his victims, however there may be certain constraints due to the 15 BBCFC Rating

To suit the theme/genre of the horror trailer we intend to produce, it is essential that we find a location which is currently not in use in order for filming to take place.

We have found an example of a typical site filming could take place at in Nuneaton, due to the isolated, rustic and damaged appearance of the site it would be an ideal setting to set the horror trailer.

However as long as the location is visually appealing towards the horror genre from the exterior it will be suited to filming as the shots will only take place from the outside.

Page 10: Audience Feedback Session

The Weddington Hotel in Nuneaton provides an ample setting for our horror trailer. Due to the historical value of the building it cannot be demolished and has been left abandoned surrounded by protective fencing in plain site.

Both the exterior and interior of the building is heavily damaged in places which will assist to provide tension building during the trailer especially on the cellar staircase as shown on the left.

Ryton House in Coventry, a heavily damaged and abandoned manor house

With an ideal surrounding area to film the horror trailer as it may help to provide tension builds and to set the scene of the horror when necessary. Providing moving images of the setting will always help to provide atmosphere.

However the interior of the location is completely demolished and so not of much use in terms of filming due to the lack of interior scenery.

Alternatively, if we are unable to access these types of locations or the specific locations stated then we can always film in local areas accessible to the public such as woodland, fields or areas that may provide the type of atmosphere to suit the horror genre. (Plus our own homes if necessary)
