Open Audacity and Open a file

Navigate to you audio file. If you already have an Audacity project open, you can drag and drop your audio file into the timeline. Audacity works with WAV, AIFF, AU, FLAC and OGG formats

Make a copy of the files before editing

Use selection tool to highlight sections

Shift+Spacebar loops selection playback

Press “p” to pause

Editing tools

Copy selection Edit>Copy

Add new track tracks>Add New>Audio Track

Paste selection Edit>Paste

Edit>Remove Audio>Cut (removes clip and fills gap)

Edit>Remove Audio>Split Cut (leaves gap)

“Cut” audio can then be pasted into new track or project

Select Envelope tool to adjust audio

Place control points by clicking on blue line in track. Drag the blue line up and down to adjust volume between control points.

To export edited file, choose File>Export and set the format to WAV
