We visit the city of Skagen and the art museum, along with the sand covered church on our way to the tip, where the last part will take place by tractor, also known as “the sand worm”. Going back down south we stop at the large sand dune, Råbjerg Mile. It is the largest moving dune in Northern Europe and contains a total of 4 million m³ of sand. The wind moves it in a north-easterly direction up to 18 m a year. The dune leaves a low, moist layer of sand behind

it, trailing back westwards towards Skagerrak, where the Mile originally formed more than 300 years ago.

We leave by bus from the Student House at 9.00 and we will return to Aarhus at approx. 21.00. A small snack will be provided for the trip home, as there will not be time to stop for dinner on the way back.
