1 You, however, must teach what is appropriate to

sound doctrine.

The Word is the Preacher’s only Source of Authority

1. The preacher’s authority is not personal.

2. The preacher’s authority is not organizational.

3. The preacher’s authority is not intellectual.

4. The preacher’s authority is not psychological.

5. The preacher’s authority is not experimental.

6. The preacher’s authority is only BIBLICAL; it is in

the WORD of GOD.

The Word is the Preacher’s

ultimate source of accountability.

The Preacher is accountable

before God to proclaim the

Word.

The Gospel is the foundation for

BIBLICAL WOMANHOOD.

1. God’s grace covers our past.

THE DUTIES OF YOUNG WOMEN

1. They are to be lovers of their

husbands.

a. The wife would find inthis love the source of herstrength, the husband thesolace for his cares, andthe children the guaranteefor their happiness andwelfare.

b. A loving wife is:

(1) A blessing to her husband

4 A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but

a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

(2) Brings him honor

23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the

elders of the land.

Three Purposes of MAN HOOD

GOD’S PRINCIPLES FOR FATHERS

1. You can be born a male, but it takes maturity to become a man.

2. If you want to know what a real man is and how to become a real man, then you need to look to the One who made men, and that is in the Word of God.

One of the problems in our society: we have confusion about what a man is; we have confusion about what a woman is.

God’s principle for a Father:

“A REAL MAN HAS A FAITHFUL WALK.”

18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the

beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have

the supremacy.

COLOSSIANS 1:18

Our beliefs determine our behavior.

We can expect blessing when we live with a constant awareness

that we belong to God.

REWARD: PERSONAL BLESSING

WIFE: FRUITFUL

Men, the greatest thingyou can do for yourchildren is to love theirmother as Christ lovedthe church and gaveHimself for it.

It begins with yourrelationship with God,then your wife, thenyour children.

CHILDREN

Your children are to be like oliveplants. In the holy land, a personwho owned olive plants andolive trees owned something ofgreat value. Olive plants andolive trees can provide fruit andincome for twenty to thirtygenerations.

He’s talking about you as a dadperpetuating your life, and yourfaith, and your heritage throughall the generations that are tocome.

I want to be remembered as adad who loved God and a dadwho passed on to my childrenthe values and the heritage ofthe Word of God that causesthem to pass the message ofChrist down through all thegenerations.

God’s plan for evangelizing theworld and carrying on themessage of Jesus Christ is forthat message to be passeddown from generation togeneration to generation.

RULES WITHOUT RELATIONSHIP

BRINGREBELLION.

NATION WILL BE BLESSED.

The blessing extends from the family unit to the

nation.

WHY IS THE FATHER’S ROLE IMPORTANT?

1. The father is the spiritual representative of God in the home.

2. So the husband is to represent the leadership of God in his home.

3. The wife is to represent the bride of Christ, the church.

Yet what a tremendous contrast this is with the idea that some men have that religion and spirituality depending on the wife.

FATHERS AND HUSBANDS NEED TO

LEARN FAITHFULNESS.
