Written Survey
A Written Survey, also know as a legal description, are words that areso unique to a particular parcel of land that delineates the tract fromany other.
Development of Written Survey
There are many different ways to compose a Written Survey.
All Written Surveys consist of three (3) main parts:
� The Caption� The Body� The Qualification Clause� The Augmenting Clause (occasionally added)

There are six (6) components within a Written Surveys:
� Point of Commencement (POC)� Point of Beginning (POB)� Course (Bearing and Distance)� Turning Point (“to a”, “to said” or “to the”)� Bounds (adjoining or bounding)� Witness Reference (“Hollow Pipe”)
